  1. 555 games hitting 2nd, 547 games hitting elsewhere. Trout has only spent about half his career hitting there. Where's the lie?
  2. https://www.fangraphs.com/statsplits.aspx?playerid=860&position=2B&season=0 Not according to Fangraphs.
  3. 95mph FB with a great CB and decent slider. Rays should have held onto him.
  4. Trout has only spent about half his career hitting there. Alomar had more games hitting leadoff than 2nd.
  5. Can you name them from non-Sox teams though? Leadoff: Lofton, Raines, Rickey 2nd: ??? It's so prestigious that it takes me a while to remember if it has a nickname or not.
  6. I can think of great leadoff hitters, but it's hard to remember great #2 hitters.
  7. https://mlb-baseball-news.com/wpw-on-field-red-sox-rays-benintendi-holt-snell/ Not trying to fat shame anyone here. It's easy to pick and choose pictures from prior years where he looks a little bigger too.
  8. I added a post for you so that you can keep track throughout the season.
  9. Many posters on here have noticed an increase in mass for Benintendi. He came up originally at 170 and was up to 185 last season. He's surely more than that now, right? Well, he looks slow and per statcast, he's gone from JBJ/Xander speed to Pearce speed over the course of one offseason. What gives? He said in the past it's been hard for him to put on weight, but that certainly isn't the case. Are the Sox at fault for not monitoring him? Is there some other issue contributing to his speed loss?
  10. He went from running about as fast as Xander and JBJ to about as slow as Pearce.
  11. His sprint speed is at 26.4 ft/sec this year. League average for the position is 27. He was at 27.7 last year.
  12. It's not credible in the least.
  13. Loving that Tulo GOLD.
  14. My daughter will often complain that she needs fresh water. I'll just add an ice cube to her water bottle and it's fresh again. Voila! Kimbrel is ready.
  15. Maybe get their starting 1b/3b who is OPSing 911 too?
  16. Nah, he's fresh.
  17. Further research indicates that it's because he looks young and earns a scoop of ice cream when he does well. Further research also indicates that the Beni nickname comes from absolutely nowhere.
  18. They talk about two scoops on the reddit Red Sox page and twitter. I haven't heard Benny Five Cents though. When I google it, nothing comes up.
  19. I'd trade Chavis for Bumgarner without question. Price, EO and ERod have huge health questions. Porcello has performance questions.
  20. I would have let him get ready for the 8th. If he k's the first batter and looks unhittable, just roll with it.
  21. And the crazy part to all of this is that the walk came in the first inning of the stretch. He's gone an amazing 40 strikeouts since!
  22. Canes were the better team last night. Rask just played out of his mind and kept the lead.
  23. Ockimey has often had quick starts to seasons. We'll see if he falls apart in the 2nd half again. It's a shame that his glove makes him basically a DH platoon only guy.
