  1. According to the lineup he's playing 2b.
  2. I don't see a replacement anytime soon.
  3. Should have traded him when he was healthy.
  4. I'm definitely rooting for him. I like guys who want to stay in Boston. Seems like a good dude too.
  5. Ewwwwwww, no. Holt is a good fill in guy. He's not someone you trot out every day.
  6. @alexspeier Mitch Moreland has 9 homers and 6 singles this year. Why? After he broke his 0-for-15 with a homer yesterday, he offered a bit of insight: ‘Can’t shift that one.’
  7. How's his cleavage these days? TV worthy?
  8. I think Chavis is the answer at 2b for now. Not sure why Rico was questioning it.
  9. On pace for 45 HR's. WE MUST NOT RE-SIGN HIM THO BECAUSE WE NEED SAVINGS ON THE LUXURY TAX AND HIS SALARY IS TOO BURDENSOME.
  10. I think it's management telling him that they want to see the Chavis thing through.
  11. Sad that I know who you are talking about without having the game on. Not sure why NESN keeps putting him on. There must be someone better able to explain advanced stats to the audience.
  12. Lin isn't playing 2b today?
  13. There's little question over their bats. The problem is that you can only put one DH in the lineup.
  14. If he has an OPS of 700 he should stay though. 700 is a very good OPS. Maybe he'll even get up to 750 and I'll get a touch of the vapors.
  15. I know I swore to use Gen Z humor today, but I just couldn't help myself.
  16. Scott Cooper should be in the HOF.
  17. @ByChrisMason “It’s natural. It’s genetically natural... He’s always had the quick bat. This is just God-given." Tim Hyers has watching Michael Chavis hit since HS. He's bullish on what the rookie can do at Fenway Park:
  18. Break out the brooms folks.
  19. Porcello career ERA: Home - 4.46 (which includes pitching in DET) Away - 4.10 However, once you start looking at things like xFIP, you see that everything tends to normalize over the long term.
  20. I'd argue that in certain cultures there are many gods and that Catholicism may lead certain saints to be revered higher than other cultures revere certain gods (i.e. St Mary is most likely more important than say a god like Hebe, Eris, Thanatos, Pan, the Muses, Graces or Fates). If they had used "Porcello was God tonight" you'd have a better case for undershooting.
  21. The Sox clearly didn't think Swihart would drag us to a 5-13 record either. Sox are 7-4 since the trade. They'll end up at 97 wins if they keep up this pace.
  22. Someone anointed him to sainthood? I don't remember reading that part.
  23. History of Gray/Grey The modern day spelling of gray (grey) actually comes from the Old English grǣg. Throughout the centuries there have been many variations in spellings, ei and ey and ai and ay. There have also been attempts to distinguish grey and gray into different colors or hues, with the color gray being a simply black and white mixture but the color grey being slightly bluer. Perhaps this is why national surveys in both England and the United States show that many people believe these are actually two different hues, even though they aren’t. Despite the complicated history, all you need to know is that they are used for different audiences. Remember the Difference A great trick to remember when to use which of these two words is that Gray is used in America and Grey is used in England. Summary So, how do you spell grey? Well, even though people get confused on the gray vs. grey debate, they can actually be used interchangeably. It is still important, however, to keep your audience in mind. I clearly don't care about my audience. Sorry everyone. I know that in the past there has been discussion about who is a "must read" (especially prior to 4/16). My posts are more clearly a "forced to read" rather than "must read". My apologies.
