His posts definitely aren't going to bring Mookie back or make the Sox rescind his trade.
I look forward to all of his comments in this season's gamethreads when Verdugo returns.
@SoxProspects
Late lineup update: #SP60 Jeter Downs (ranked 2) is making his spring Red Sox debut playing shortstop and batting 3rd in place of C.J. Chatham. Promptly rips a base hit in his first AB.
@jcmccaffrey
The other pitchers following McGrath to the mound today are: RHP Denyi Reyes, RHP Robinson Leyer, RHP Trevor Hildenberger, RHP Austin Brice

This could be an interesting comeback story. #Rockies bringing RHP Daniel Bard to Major League camp. Control issues ended his time with #RedSox in 2013. Last Minor League action was 2017 with the #Mets at the Rookie and Class A levels.
So the Padres should rest on their laurels that they have a better chance of getting into the postseason than the BOSOX who just traded a frontline starter and leadoff hitter to cut payroll. Is that the argument? It's been widely reported that Preller is most likely done if the Padres don't have a great year. No matter what happens this year, Bloom will be with the Sox next year. Seems obvious to me that the Padres are more desperate.
I've just seen how well the Rays have operated over the past decade or so. I assumed that Bloom would be fairly methodical so I was going to give him time to make some moves and figure out how he wants to transform this system.
DD proved to be too foolhardy by being quick on the draw. I'd rather an introspective GM than someone who is just actively setting stacks of cash and the farm system on fire.
Peraza is 6 years younger. Holt is at the age where many people on here projected Mookie to decline.
ZIPS prefers Peraza's glove at 2b and Holt's bat.
Steamer prefers Peraza's glove and bat.
Maybe now that there is an additional bench slot available, a jack of all trades master of none like Brock Holt is less valuable in this system?
