    @jcmccaffrey Red Sox have postponed the game tonight. They'll play a split doubleheader on Sunday. Game 1 at 1:10 p.m. and Game 2 at 5:10 p.m. Tickets for today are good for Game 2.

    I'm not super against it. I have half wondered if any game that got past 9 innings gave out a loser's point, but it doesn't feel right. I'm also fine with 7 inning double headers.

    No on mound warmups for a reliever. They should be ready to go once they leave the pen.

    I think they may be doing that as well. There was something on the table about forcing all infielders to play on the dirt or closer as well as not allowing more than 2 infielders on either side of 2b.

    The only MLB stadium turf I've ever been on was Olympic Stadium in Montreal. The turf was nothing like old Sullivan/Foxboro Stadium turf that really felt like you were at home playing on your driveway. The Olympic Stadium turf had a little give to it.

    If Ozzie Smith had stayed on the Padres, I probably would have had their cap growing up.

    The heyday of those guys was mostly before my time. I remember Leonard on those mid 80's Giants teams.

    1. They ruined the midsummer classic. 2. It took away a lot of the mystique around the World Series. 3. The Sox are ending their season against a team with a win/loss record that has zero impact on them. 4. It allows the NL to have pitchers hit and the rest of us fans can enjoy the DH.

    I really just liked that 80's NL style of play (Ozzie Smith, Tony Gwynn, Willie McGee, Vince Coleman, Billy Hatcher, Terry Pendleton, Tim Raines).
