  1. Not allowed to complain.
  2. Here's Trent's 4 games against BOS in 2019: 6/21 6.1 2ER 7/2 2.2 7ER 7/15 1.1 5ER 9/11 5 0ER (in relief) 16 Innings, 14 Earned Runs
  3. I don't think he's a 5 tool guy, but I think he has some value as an everyday starter at 2B. I'd suggest what I think the lineup should look like, but I guess our opinions only matter when the team sucks?
  4. I'm looking forward to a JBJ type hot and cold streak from Kiké.
  5. Is a 289 OBP good for leadoff? According to Fangraphs, Arroyo is the 5th best hitter on the team right now. Seems like he should play as much as possible?
  6. Arroyo needs to play more. Stop having Kiké hit leadoff.
  7. Maybe Giolito just isn't that good? Ball don't lie. Also, Vaz's bunt single was originally scored an error.
  8. ChiSox broadcast is always garbage.
  9. @ChrisCotillo Mendick's last pitch registered at 40 mph.
  10. Doubling up on the position players pitching. ChiSox really were done after the first inning.
  11. It took Whitlock only 14 pitches to get 5 outs.
  12. The corner OFers are definitely an issue on this team. If Verdugo was in RF, Duran in CF and platoon Renfroe/Franchy in LF, the lineup would be much more formidable.
  13. @redsoxstats Red Sox new power rankings today Athletic 3rd (+14) MLB 3rd (+17) CBS 4th (+4)
  14. Hate to see it.
  15. Is this the first time Whitlock has come in with runners on?
  16. This is Nate's longest outing (number of pitches) since prior to the 2018 WS.
  17. He has only thrown 100+ pitches twice in his Red Sox career.
  18. Nate is at 70 pitches through 5.1. He has only gone 7 innings 4 times as a Red Sox. His most was 8 against the Yanks in 2018 (also a career high).
  19. @SoxNotes Kiké Hernández is the first Red Sox player to hit a leadoff HR on Patriots’ Day since Ellis Burks on 4/18/88 vs. TEX.
  20. A mediocre player whose only utility is that he can marginally play almost any position? Sure.
  21. It would have been so dumb to trade Vaz to the Rays in the offseason.
  22. @IanCundall Red Sox OF Jarren Duran just hit his second HR of the day. 1-2 FB down that he golfed to straight away CF for a 3-run HR. His power is legit. In this two game look, Duran looks very comfortable w/FB down, but has struggled when they are elevated. Something to watch going forward. If Renfroe continues to be awful, it's only a matter of time before Duran is called up.
  23. @redsoxpayroll Sox '22 payroll estimations before team options for Richards/Perez/Andriese: - Est. $140MM with JD opting in - Est $118MM with JD opting out CBT is still TBA beyond this season, but if it increases $5MM over the '21 number - Sox would be looking at $73MM or $95MM pending JD.
  24. On Verdugo's HR: @redsoxstats Fun fact, that is Verdugo's 15th extra base hit at Fenway the last 2 years, he now has 1 double and 1 home run to the right side of second base, everything else oppo.
  25. Seems like the Sox aren't letting their foot off the gas.
