  1. Fabian has a high ceiling, but a Dalbec floor. I didn't listen to their draft night podcast, but I assume they'd put Mayer 2nd. I could see him going anywhere between 1 - 3.
  2. Move Duran back to 2b.
  3. Yeah, at some point it's through the looking glass where I just don't want to go.
  4. WHIP regular season: 1.00, xFIP 2.98 WHIP postseason: 1.07, xFIP 3.39 SSS or maybe the players behind him aren't helping out or MAYBE he is facing guys on the opposing team who are clutch.
  5. Yes, it's only about control. There is hesitancy about his injury though.
  6. Also, signing period ends on August 1.
  7. Here's what Mike Andrews posted on over at SoxProspects: Top Ten Rounds (entire amount counts towards bonus cap) Round, Overall Pick, Player, Projected Bonus 1 Marcelo Mayer $7,000,000 2 Jud Fabian $2,000,000 3 Tyler McDonough $831,100 (slot) 4 Elmer Rodriguez $300,000 5 Nathan Hickey $410,100 (slot) 6 Daniel McElveny $250,000 7 Wyatt Olds $150,000 8 Hunter Dobbins $150,000 9 Tyler Miller $150,000 10 Matt Litwicki $150,000 After 10th round, above $125K (first $125,000 does not count towards bonus cap) 11 Niko Kavadas $400,000 ($275k towards cap) 13 Zach Ehrhard $150,000 ($25k over cap) After 10th round, possible $125,000 or less signs (count $0 towards cap) 12 Christopher Troye 14 Jacob Webb 18 Phillip Sikes Total spent towards cap using these projections: $11,691,200 Red Sox Cap: $11,359,600 Red Sox Cap +5%: (no draft pick penalty): $11,927,580 Super wicked early projected not to sign Vela, Guerrero, Uberstine, and Hood could all sign if there is roster space. Green appears unlikely. 15 Payton Green 16 BJ Vela 17 Luis Guerrero 19 Tyler Uberstine 20 Josh Hood There is no chance that Green signs. I'm guessing that they sign 17 guys and Niko takes less money than Mike projects here.
  8. Sounds fair to me. I'm putting Niko at C.
  9. Usually, the guys they don't sign are HS seniors.
  10. Mayer at 2 behind Casas Fabian after Yorke McDonough after Bonaci Rodriguez after Winckowski
  11. Brandon Howlett hit his 9th HR since June 1.
  12. Casas broke his homerless streak and went yard yesterday.
  13. @jcmccaffrey Red Sox director of amateur scouting Paul Toboni called Niko Kavadas' power 'top of the scale'. He thinks they can help Jud Fabian cut down his K-rate even further
  14. If Niko comes out to Stone Cold's entrance music too, I'd allow it.
  15. Dear pitchers, throwing a no hitter is bad for your health. Just give up a leadoff basehit and you'll be fine.
  16. What if we added Chavis?!?!?
  17. f*** it. This team is so bad that I'm not even going to watch tonight.
  18. Remy will be speechless over how they are playing.
  19. Red Sox only managed 3 hits last night and scored 0 runs. WTF?
  20. I'd be tempted on Duran for Means. I'd do C and D. DEPENDING ON MEANS' HEALTH.
  21. 820 sounds high to me. I'd say he's probably 750 - 790.
  22. Tiggers gave up Drew Smyly, Willy Adames and Austin Jackson in the deal. Jackson was a 3-5 win player at the time. Smyly was a decent reliever. Adames was a well regarded prospect at the time. That's a big haul. I'm not sure the Sox would want to do that.
