  1. Baez is a good player. Bogaerts is a criminally underrated player EVEN IN HIS HOMETOWN.
  2. You could get Kikuchi for $10M, but I think you'd be better off going elsewhere.
  3. Landscape is changing. We'll see when the $$$ follows. I just don't see the course correcting happening this fast.
  4. Baez since 2018: 13.2 fWAR Bogaerts since 2018: 18.8 fWAR
  5. You aren't going to find a good SP for $10M.
  6. Bogey is better than Baez, so I hope he makes Baez money.
  7. I agree that I think they don't have JD or Schwarber, especially if JD opts out.
  8. You wouldn't dunk your pizza in ranch then?
  9. The only football that is better in person is if you are at a top tier division 1 college game with a good crowd.
  10. We'll have to see. I think starters will still get paid the same. I think the middle relievers are just seen as fungible assets that a team can burn through.
  11. Porcello was so underrated.
  12. It's how I feel about the shift. It's just a strategy that may become passé at some point.
  13. Max is the "win now" move. A team like the Astros would need to do that. Maybe LAA? Dodgers just won a WS, so they might be inclined to let Max move on especially since they are still on the hook for Bauer.
  14. Honestly, I'd rather them spend extra to just keep Xander and Raffy signed. I like Schwarber, but I just don't know how much it would take to sign him. I think Castellanos would be a better pick up, but I think we could see a rotating cast of characters at DH once Casas is promoted this year.
  15. I think the "third time through the order" talking point has firmly stuck it's flag in the ground. I think most fans get it now.
  16. Ray is a very unique case. He was a CY pitcher this year, but it's hard for me to see him repeating that performance.
  17. That's just buzzarding.
  18. In the 1800's they were still probably using bags that slid out of the way when you came into contact with them. I guess just bring those back then? Break away bags?
  19. Players already have stickum on their gloves. Just slide head first everytime.
  20. We haven't seen enough out of Bloom to really know what he would do IMO. His first year, he had to slash payroll and deal Mookie/Price to get under the lux tax. In his second year, he needed to fill a roster that had some significant holes, but still stay near the cap. We don't know what it would look like if he was given the opportunity to go over. Maybe he does fill a lot of holes cheaply but splurges on one guy?
  21. Then staying glued to 2b and 3b is part of the rules.
  22. I'm tellin' ya, it's time to party!
  23. Yes, then you can really enforce the rule that batters should be running to the right side of the foul line. It's also a very good safety measure.
  24. Are we going to allow players to overrun 2B too?
