  1. Innings, hits, runs, walks and Ks. :dunno:
  2. One-two punch? They both kinda suck. #4-5 NL starters at best.
  3. A 27 year old 6.0 WAR 1B with above average defense and cost controlled for the next two years. I think that's a fair package right now, considering that Anderson's and Bowden's stock is as low as ever.
  4. The sleeper on that trade is Ian Patrick Kennedy.
  5. And Gary Sanchez is your #11 prospect
  6. I know enough. I know that Mitchell (a 22 year old that dominated A/A+) is not a #6 on any Yankee prospect list, except yours. Even worst, you have him ahead of Viz and Heathcott. Melancon and Dunn are not even on your list. So much crap ahead of J.R Murphy, I mean Eduardo Nunez and Chris Garcia, seriously?
  7. Brewer is a solid prospect that can play multiple positions. That's something Joseph can't. He couldn't handle SS, and last season proved he can't handle 2B either. Do you know why he started the season in Extended Spring Training? He was learning how to properly field drills. He's more suited for 3B, but that would reduce his already low ceiling significatively. There are better hitters than him in the system, like Romine and I'd dare to say that Murphy and Heathcott are better than him. If you want a 2B, then you have Adams .281/.360/.498 last year in A+ with above average defense.
  8. Holy small sample size, Batman!
  9. Agree 100%, his career FIP is 3.83 which is 0.36 points lower than his career ERA, which means the HRs don't affect his numbers really much, for the reasons you mention. Even if his HR/9 skyrockets from a career 1.16 HR/9 to a 1.50 HR/9, we'd still be talking of about an 4ish ERA, which is what everyone is expecting. Great move.
  10. A huge underachiever with great peripherals. One of the most consistent and solid pitchers in baseball, underachiever.
  11. I expect CC, AJ, Vasquez and Joba to put K/9 of 8+, that's sick.
  12. Based on what?
  13. Somewhat satisfied? You're gonna get that production from your #4 starter, +200 IP, 4ish ERA, a WAR of 5.0 and a K/9 of around 9. He has pitched more than 32 starts on each season since 2000. That's consistency. Our rotation now has the best K rate in the league. And seriously, the centerpiece of the deal was Melky Cabrera. A 1.6 WAR CF that is going to make $3m next year.
  14. After the year Javy Vasquez had, it was a complete steal imo.
  15. Cherry picking stats.
  16. Chamberlain has had more MLB success. He showed he can be a dominant reliever and flashes of being a #1 starter. He's one full year younger than Clay, still has a lot of work to do. But Buchholz who aside of a no hitter in '07 and 16 "good" starts last year (including a monster September against teams playing for nothing) posting a 4.21 ERA (FIP and tRA were higher) with UGLY peripherals, is more of a sure thing. Uncool.
  17. I totally agree with Joseph. But Top 10 is too much. Mitchell is a 22 year old that had success at A/A+, he?s too old for that league, and he lack a pitch that he can use against leftys (changeup). His ceiling is Chad Gaudin at this point, with way worst K rates. Vizcaino is a 18 year old that sits at the mid-90s with his fastball and tops at 98. What not to like.
  18. I'd take Cervelli over Molina anytime. He at least is better offensively, he's younger, cost controlled and is above average defensively with great arm, he's fast for a catcher and fits the "getting younger more athletic" thing. But, if Posada gets hurt, he won't hit at all. Between him and Molina, I'd say he's the lesser of two evils.
  19. Because back then they had no third baseman and no intention to resign Mueller. Now they have Lowell that is going to make $12 million next year.
  20. How Corban Joseph made the Top 10? He's an horrendous defender at 2B and hasn't show much hitting ability aside from a pair of good months last year with an unsustainable BABIP. Yet he's ahead of more solid prospects like Dan Brewer or David Adams, they all belong to the 20-30 range. D.J Mitchell ahead of Arodys Vizcaino... Jesus Christ.
  21. What happened to Pedroia and Scutaro?
