  1. Orlando Arcía, he of the .679 career OPS, is OPS'ing .853 and sitting pretty with a 1.7 fWar thus far, when his career high is 0.7. What's more likely? His numbers regressing to the norm, or him putting up a 4.0 WAR when he had a 642 game sample of utter suck that suggests this is not his level of production?

  3. So you signed a guy for SS money to not play SS. I don't see it.
  4. The thing that really irks me about this whole ordeal is the Story signing. I didn't see sense in it then, and it makes even less sense to me now.
  5. Since German gets away with using sticky stuff, Houck should use some sticky stuff too.
  6. Also, and this is important, regardless of less than half a season of effective pitching with a much better defense than what the Red Sox would provide and a stadium that diminishes HR power, Wacha just isn't that good. I don't see anyone complaining about the Sox not bringing back Martin Perez. Wanna know why? Because he turned back into a pumpkin.
  7. I like the word disastrous better. Might give Max an aneurysm.
  8. Note: I said the comment was stupid, not the poster.
  9. This is a good take, I must admit.
  10. I do f*** some moms. Still a pretty dumb thing to say, my friend.
  11. Take it up to Bloom. He's the one who signed the entire MLB injured SS squad to the 2023 Red Sox. Pablo is not an everyday player.
  12. Team best WHIP for starters on the '22 Res Sox is like best sprint speed on a team of peg-legged runners.
  13. We'll know at season's end, if he's even pitching.
  14. Wacha sucks.
  15. That's what I think, but I'm no psychologist. Working on anything while your mind is scrambled sucks though.
  16. It doesn't piss me off in baseball as much as it does basketnall. It's a 162 game slog, and some of these guys won't take a day off unless the manager makes them tale a day off, believe it or not. Scheduling days off helps the manager not have to choke hold the player out of the lineup on the same day, and gives guys a needed mental break.
  17. Oh, so they're not babying him, which let me tell you, it's a stupid comment to begin with. These are people with lives, regardoess of how you feel about the money they make.
  18. Y'all were talking mad s*** about Cora's lineup for today, yet that was t the only lineup to win a game this series. Long live Cora, who knows more about lineup construction than the nerds at Talksox!
  19. You do know literally every half-decent player in this league first got brought up based on potential? Resisting the idea of building from within while only spending on the really good talent is like dying of a heart attack because you don't like that newfangled blood pressure medication. You'll take your classic medication even if it kills you doggone it!
  20. Let's forget about potential and sign a bunch of old guys to expensive contracts and then suck like the Mets.
  21. This post is a joke right?
  22. Do you know the reason why they gave him the day off?
  23. It's not that I don't like the trade strategy, I just don't think the Sox have the depth (yet).
  24. It's been two months and a couple of days.
