Believe it or not, this is actually what i advocated for in the first place, but i think the downgrade in D is not nearly as big as the upgrade in Offense. Al-Gon will be back to being completely lost at the plate soon enough.

And even worse, your argument in this instance doesn't hold any water, because how many catchers can actually catch the knuckler. Not sure the best catcher in ther history of ever per Gom's opinion (Jose Molina) can do it. And how exactly is the fact that they steal a lot of bases off Wakefield is going to result in the Red Sox pitching staff ERA ballooning up nearly a full run? Declaring victory as usual. They scored runs tonight, because parts of the lineup that weren't supposed to completely suck (Martinez, Youk) but were sucking didin't suck tonight. No matter what some Yankee fans will tell you, it's not realistic to expect a team to win when half the lineup is slumping horribly. The offense is not as potent as in years past, but it's not as bad as it looked for the last week or so. I believe the saying goes "A team is never as good as it looks during a prolonged winning streak or as bad as it looks during a prolonged losing streak".

Beltre, Scutaro and Cameron all have significant enough sample sizes in regards to their defensive abilities. No one here has ever claimed Cameron is "gaining range" and youre being dishonest again in regards to his defensive statistics again. If you use a three year sample (2007-2009), instead of the position-flip in 05 and the freak injury 06, then you can come up with a reasonable assesment of his defensive abilities. I wil admit though, that given the the Sample induced volatility of UZR, they may have rushed the position flip with Ellsbury and Cameron.
