    The Mets don't have the prospects, the Braves don't have the money, and already got burned in the Teixeira deal. The Rays have the prospects, but don't have a hole at 1B with Carlos Pena there, not to mention their offense doesn't have the need, because i think they lose Crawford but keep Pena.

    I think it needs time for the team to "Gel". IMO when the team is completely together, playing in mid-season form the defense (With the exception of noodle-arm Martinez) will be awesome.

    Not with a AAAA OF, a s***** BP, a slumping offense, and a catcher who can't throw runners out. I say numbes one, two and three will settle in as the team starts to gel, but number four will be a recurring problem.

    Did you read the post? When you hit a Home Run, you get on base, and subsequently score a run. It's all part of OBP, because you can't score runs if you don't get on base. Let me put it simply: If Hall and Martinez don't walk, the inning is much shorter, the Home runs don't happen, and the runs don't score. Why? Because you can't score runs if you don't get on base. 2 walks then a Home Run is always better than a Solo shot.

    I'll never understand qualifying a player as "soft". Different people have different reactions to injuries and pain.
