  1. That is true. Specially with the millions (and millions) armchair GMs spread out through the globe.
  2. Example ain't around much anymore. I now hold that title. Get used to it.
  3. A "mental logjam" if i may add. Oh, and check out my pic and sig. Sweet.
  4. Julio Lugo and Daisuke Matsuzaka: Two contracts you can bitch about. JD Drew, Adrian Beltre, basically rest of the team: Things you shouldn't bitch about.
  5. All has returned to normalcy now.
  6. And by the way, Scott Boras is not the agent for either Julio Lugo or Edgar Renteria, it's Sam Levinson and Barry Meister respectively.
  7. Epic contribution. Well done, sir. But you forgot the "Drew has a vagina" joke.
  8. Question: Do teams like the Sox or Yankees don't usually have to overpay for that type of talent? See: Sabathia, CC. Damon, Johnny. Lackey, John. Holliday, Matt. Rodriguez, Alex. And on and on and on. Not to mention that at the time of the Drew signing the market for OF exploded. You know what overpaying is? 50 and 40 million for Juan Pierre and Gary Matthews respectively.
  9. Lugo= bust. Drew= not a bust. 90% of every FA signed in MLB is "overpaid". Sabathia, Holliday, Lackey to name a couple. But hey, you could've gotten them both for cheaper.
  10. Lol the "Overpaid" argument. Lol.
  11. So? JD Drew was good enough to get 5/70. Money well spent. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Every team makes blunders, and it's really easy to talk from the comfort of your chair.
  12. I made an edit. Check it out.
  13. Yeah, but Lugo sucked. Oh, and the "fielding slump" term i didn't come up with. My theory is that he was trying too hard to impress early in the season. He settled down and the mistakes stopped, until now.
  14. We are in business now.
  15. Maybe i was trying to imply that he's settled after his horrible early season "fielding slump", by not making an error (and lol errors) in almost a month. But hey, what do i know, i can't even spell correctly.
  16. Clear indication on the strength of the argument. But hey, as a700 said, Lowell doesn't even get to it. Did i spell that correctly?
  17. Error number 7: May 8th. Error number 8: June 3rd.
  18. You are not a scout, you are not a coach. His mechanics are "unorthodox", and messing up his footwork has nothing to do with his arm angle. Then again, you already knew that. Through the tv.
  19. Awful time for that error.
  20. Curt Schilling's take on the incident: He seems to concur with ORS's point that umpires seem to be too fond of the spotlight lately.
  21. Hall and Hermida are a combined 6-6 with 4 runs scored and 2 RBI.
