  1. Daisuke can't find the plate. This is beginning to look like one of those "starts well and goes downhill from there" games.
  2. Except it's been more than 1 bad game. Beckett hasn't been Beckett all year. I'd rather have it be a problem that a little rest can solve.
  3. Actually I feel better now. Now we know there's an issue and it's being worked on.
  4. It's Becks. I'm sure Lester would understand. Beckett's postseason track record makes it a very easy decision. Lester starts game 2, Daisuke starts Game 3.
  5. Sure, but what's that got to do with this discussion? you do realize I'm calling for both men to be on the roster, right? (actually Lowrie isn't "likely" to do that yet, although his prospects are as good offensively as they'd need to be to SUGGEST he'll do that well -- he's still a rookie)
  6. Lowrie is the better player than Hardy? Not seeing your point.
  7. Or option 3, use Lowrie's ability to play multiple infield positions and combine it with his ability to be a LHH platoon partner for 3 RHH positions and turn him into what Alex Cora should have been. I have a hard time believing you can't find at least 90-100 games worth of playing time for Jed, even behind Hardy, under those circumstances.
  8. "No, we're not going to go after promising veteran players entering their peak because we have young players at the same position who are good enough." Paraphrasing GM Brian Cashman on the state of the Yankee rotation. If you can nail down shortstop with a quality player like Hardy, you don't let a pre-arb kid stand in the way -- especially if you can clear a path for both men to play for the price of losing a pair of liabilities.
  9. Maybe she'd better, that way he can get a new one. BTW -- here comes the FO's Manny-Lowe-Garciaparra "exit strategy" for 'Tek.
  10. Yeah, The Cap'n is pretty much done. He might have another good year or two in him but I wouldn't gamble the franchise on it. EDIT: Geeze, Matsuzaka. You wanna repeat all the needless drama of the last couple nights or what?
  11. I love that kid! We finally have ourselves a long-term SS! An RBI base hit from Tek would just cap the laugher. EDIT: Ahh well.
  12. Nope but I'll take the Fenway double!
  13. Time for that second career MLB HR Jed?
  14. Hey Washington, that was a fun pitcher. Can we have another just like him now? Ahh. Madrigal. Thanks, just what I was asking for.
  15. So when the Rangers FO murders their entire pitching staff in their sleep, who do you think they'll trade for?
  16. Hahahaha when you can't get ALEX CORA out you deserve what you get!
  17. Hahahahahahahahahahaha
  18. He hit the #9 hitter with the bases jacked Even beyond the incopetence thus displayed, Cora ain't exactly a huge target.
  19. 3 cheap-o runs but I'll take 'em all!
  20. LOL! Now THAT'S when you know you suck!
  21. And Coco with an RBI??! What next? Cora with a bases-clearing triple?
  22. Tek at least passes the scoring chance forward. As bad a year as he's having I'll take that from him.
