  1. That's a good thing. Paps owns from here I think.
  2. Paps really needs to start wasting some 0-2 pitches.
  3. I'm just as glad to be on the other side of Napoli no matter how it happened.
  4. Just walk Napoli. No need to be muleheaded here.
  5. Jeeze, the worst part is that Paps is actually pitching well.
  6. That was a good piece of hitting by a good hitter. Rise above it, Paps.
  7. Jason Bay. Jason Bay is a reason for optimism.
  8. Lucic's a young hotblood, I don't think he has a "cool" to begin with, makes it hard to keep one. All I want to ask of Lucic is that he keep it within the rules next time.
  9. One game? Shouldn't hardly think so. More likely a harbinger of Fernandez starting the next game.
  10. 4 goals in 20 mins is Raycroft level but you don't see that very often from Thomas.
  11. You're going to be doing this every single time TT isn't absolutely perfect aren't you?
  12. Which could also have the effect of taking him out of his game and rendering him absolutely useless. Not that you'd be complaining of course.
  13. You were the voice of reason at some point? C'mon, we've been itching all winter to talk some real baseball. You really think a little thing like small sample size is going to discourage us now?
  14. Not an unreasonable prediction, but it would depend on him cutting down his walks. ORS -- do you consider Daeges "worth following?" He's in Paw. Was 1 for 4 with a walk. Dusty Brown is a guy we could definitely wind up seeing in a Sox uni this year. He went 2 for 5. BTW -- Kyle Snyder and Bobby Kielty sightings on Buffalo
  15. The guys I worry about right now are Drew and Lowrie. Neither have really shown much so far. They need to get going.
  16. [i obviously do not care.
  17. I hope if he's hurting he actually tells someone so we can let someone who's actually healthy and capable take his starts.
  18. Frankly Daisuke was fine at first in the States. Something changed around August of 07
  19. We nearly won this game with only two hitters. This teams' gotta get on the ball, but I don't think that we have too much to worry about in the long run. I mean, heck, we've come out to much slower starts in the past.
  20. Look, teams wouldn't be in the playoffs if they weren't dangerous. We're the 1 seed, I don't think we need to be too concerned about cherry-picking our opponents. Doesn't mean we're any kind of unbeatable, but it does mean that they're the ones that need to look out for us this time. And if we're bounced out, I have little reason to doubt that we'll be back next year for another try. As long as it's not an embarrassing first round exit, I'm set.
  21. You were right in your first post: It's one start. Daisuke has had a ton of starts worse than this, heck his opening day performance last year was nearly as bad. It's just one of those things that happens in baseball. THis is only a real problem if it tempts Daisuke to nibble even more. If only he could get that 4-5 MPH back that he had when he first came to the States.
