  1. Bruins in 4 (homer pick but I think the B's will be absolutely focused and when they are focused no one really stops them) Caps in 6 (Lundqvist will steal a game or two) Canes in 5 (I'm calling a bad series for Brodeur) Flyers in 5 (Flyers can score as well as the Pens and are much more physical and better defensively -- this one is an offensive series that will come down to Philly's vastly superior scoring depth) Ducks in 7 (time for the Sharks to go to sleep for the year) Wings in 6 (Mason steals a couple games) Blues in 5 (St. Louis is a nice balanced squad) Flames in 6 (Hawks are a streaky team, this will be a bad streak for them
  2. 1: 6 games in 2: NFW Pedroia in particular stays this cold 3: This is a fluke 4: We've been in every game so far (all 6) so I wouldn't call it a crisis as much as bad luck and poor execution of individual chances.
  3. Gotta ask at what point do we say that Bowden has surpassed Buchholz when Buchholz is struggling and Bowden isn't?
  4. Because prior to last year Lowell was a horse who played 140+ games nearly every year and was seen trying to play through a serious lower body injury last year. Drew has a reputation of not being willing to play through much of anything. It probably shouldn't but it does flavor the discussion of these two players. Also Lowell's coming back from recent surgery. Drew has no such excuse. That said, these guys will be valuable positives in the offensive column -- both of them -- by the end of the yearl
  5. Sad thing is this game was very winnable if the hitters had performed at an average level with RISP.
  6. 6 (six) games. Call me in May and tell me all about how he sucks, but not after 6 games. Lowell earned his money when he was on the field last year, the injury was hardly his fault. Lowell has actually looked strong defensively, so I'm not prepared to write him off as damaged good just yet. Meanwhile we haven't been really out of a game yet so I don't see why a bit of early season scuffling is reason for this wholesale panic.
  7. You all realize that JD Drew was at least as much a factor in this last sucktacular game. Not absolving Lowell, but he's not the reason we're in early season struggles. And speaking of early season struggles, I'm impressed with your restraint, actually letting 6 whole games go by before declaring that a player sucks and is done for the year. Congrats. Give yourself a MF'N pat on the back.
  8. Game. Absolutely disgusting. I've had enough of this crap. See y'all later.
  9. I can't get past this. Incredibly, incredibly frustrating. THey had this game all but tied up and found a way to lose.
  10. 3 walks other than Drew's one pitch AB. ANd Drew's the patient one. just get it into the outfield Lowell
  11. I wish I could be more confident with Ortiz up and a 1 run deficit.
  12. Double or nothing for a walk and Lopez pitching to Guerrero?
