  1. Komisarek tried to put the hurt on Matt Hunwick after the siren and Hunwick wound up bleeding from the eye, Kessel got mugged by a Hab after scoring the ENG, and I think that wasn't all, just the ones that people are really screaming about over at HFBoards.
  2. I pay for Gameday Audio. I'm within the blackout region for the Red Sox so even if I paid for MLB.TV I couldn't watch them. And yes, there's a reason I pay for Gameday Audio even though I'm in New England. The station that carries the Sox around here is on the other side of a G_D__ hill so I can't get their signal cleanly without interference from a station that's much closer and overwhelms the band.
  3. Komisarek needs suspended for gouging Hunwick's eye. The NHL needs to make something happen there. If someone is bleeding for a player's antics after the whistle that player needs to miss games.
  4. Have a laugh. http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=632297
  5. And Kessel puts it away! Bruins win! EDIT: And Lucic takes out the trash lol.
  6. http://tech2.in.com/media/images/img_3865_zorro_450x360.jpg
  7. Getting pretty seriously outplayed here.
  8. Whatever would you guys do with yourselves if I wasn't here? EDIT: That is a rhetorical question.
  9. Tie game. Not good news. Habs are getting timely penalties to reverse the momentum every time the Bruins start to take the advantage.
  10. Dang -- stream's way too skippy. Oh well.
  11. Thanks a lot!!!
  12. I'll take a bad goal as long as the Bruins lead. Price off to a very good start from a Bruin's fan's perspective. Since I can't see the action: were the Bruins' two goals well executed or just softies? And how have both goaltenders looked in general (I notice a huge shot disparitiy favoring the Bruins)
  13. 2-1 B's with 2 mins to go in the first. GOals by Kessel and Krejci for the Bruins, Higgins for the HAbs
  14. Well that was an unexpected direction for this thread to take. Athough the more I think about it, maybe not. :/
  15. I can't watch the game. The barbarians amongst whom I live don't think cable TV is a necessary expense. Life as son of an accountant has its drawbacks. Sometimes I can't wait to get out of here. EDIT: But Phil the Thrill just put Boston on the board.
  16. Good to hear. Also, TMI.
  17. Nah, not hardly. I really like Kottaras and he intrigues me as a catcher with good patience and power. Since Kottaras is part of this team and Tek's nearing the end of his career, his performance is worth keeping an eye on. It is far from inconcievable that Kottaras will wind up at least as a placeholder after Tek finally moves on. Possibly a lot more than that.
  18. Very much so, especially considering just how hard the A's were finding keeping up with it. Wake really had it dancing yesterday, and Kot handled it just fine. I think he's gonna work out great.
  19. We didn't have a current one. The last one we were still trying to figure out whether it'd be Brown, Kot, Tek, Bard or a trade. This one is just about Kottaras without all that superfluous fluff. And frankly, while it's a 2 game sample, I think Kottaras is starting to answer some questions we've had about him. His D has been solid, he had a heck of a game yesterday, he handled Wakefield like he's done it all his life, and he's hit both righties and lefties (once each lol). If you don't like a thread, don't top it.
  20. Yeah, pretty flawless, except for all those annoying flaws.
  21. No...
  22. Prospects, sure. This would not be unlike being OK that we lost Lowell because now Bailey gets a chance to show us what he can do.
  23. i never doubted you for a moment.:harhar:
  24. Well, I've got two answers to that. One, they didn't actually make the trade so it's not certain exactly what their feelings are about Kottaras, and two, having Salty doesn't necessarily mean that they don't trust Kottaras. You can have more than one catcher at a time on a roster. Personally my guess is that the Sox explored the idea of trading for a guy who was a bit more of a sure thing, but had no compunction about going to Kot if the price wasn't right. Personally, and this is mostly a gut reaction, I think Kottaras hits OK this year, impresses with the glove, and makes a serious bid to stay in the big leagues. I dunno if he can become a catcher of the future, but I can't rule it out any more than I can rule out the possibility that he goes bust.
  25. Sure, I know it's early for starting this discussion but you have to admit that all the signs so far are very good.
