  1. Nice job JD. Dustin goes deep here!
  2. Called it. Wish ellsbury had gotten himself on base. O well. At least he got the game to Drew.
  3. Bad result, good approach by Ellsbury.
  4. You know who their closer is right? We've still got a chance here if Ramon allows no further damage.
  5. Suicide squeeze is a real possibility here.
  6. See if Farrell can work his magic.
  7. Very nice inning by the defense behind Delcarmen. Three solid plays.
  8. Maybe, maybe not. After the job the pen turned in a few days ago i'd give them all the rest I could before leaning on them again.
  9. One of these days Kottaras is going to god deep in a situation like that.
  10. You might be sarcastic here, but that outlook makes sense. It was Wakefield against felix Hernandez, I don't mind leaving Wake out a bit in this situation. It's about managing your assets for 162 games.
  11. Don't be so ungrateful. Our bullpen took a beating in Baltimore. Offday or no offday, a chance to rest them in a game we were never that likely to win in the first place makes sense.
  12. all time Red Sox saves leader
  13. Jose Lopez batting third, what are they doing in Seattle?
  14. There's still time for the Yankees to go after Kapler.
  15. Pretty critical to get an accurate age here. If he's 26 then he's a reliever if he's 21 he might develop into a starter.
  16. You laugh now but the Orioles were a force to be reckoned with not too long ago. But no, the Yankee rivalry with Baltimore was only ever a "they were the good team at the time" sort of thing. We have a stronger rivalry with the Angels than they have with the O's.
  17. Damon, Bellhorn, Embree, Mientkiewicz, Myers, 5 of the 25 were on the Yankees within 3 years of the Miracle.
  18. Yes, I agree. It's one of the best ways a civilian can be helpful to the military too.
  19. Oh man that's awesome. Thanks a lot guys.
  20. You had 3 grandfathers? How's that work? J/K Yeah, I had 3 grandparents in uniform too. Both grandfathers and one of my grandmothers. They all found things to do that didn't involve killing people though. One of my grandfathers was an engineer in Europe with the Ninth Army, the other did something involving the communcations system on a destroyer, and I had a grandmother who was stateside fixing aircraft engines. She married the destroyer technician, and it was a running joke in the family while they were alive that she finished her military service a grade or two higher than Grandpa. Didn't serve myself. Considered it though. Frankly I wasn't fit enough.
