  1. More to the point, the media had every excuse to pound the crap out of Schilling and didn't really do so.
  2. You're really reaching, you know that? Occam's razor says that the simplest solution is the most likely one. In this case the simplest solution is not collusion, but simply an exercise in crowd pleasing by the editors.
  3. ehh, it depends on how able the B's are to replace them. Frankly I think Kobasew has more value in trade to another team than he has to the Bruins right now, but others seem to think he's a prototypical Bruins forward who hits, fights, battles and scores. As for Ference, I don't think you'll get fair value for him. Unless Alexandrov is a lot better than I hear he is, I suspect he'll stay.
  4. Zack Greinke, Joakim Soria, a lot of average prospects that I root for to overcome the odds and make it big in the majors.
  5. Ever consider that you guys may be putting the cart before the horse on the whole "players get killed by the media on their way out" thing? I'm just speculating here, but doesn't it make more sense that a reporter picks up negative information about a Sox player and their editor holds it back or restrains it a bit, not because of some conspiracy but because the readers don't want a 24/7 crapfest on a guy they are depending on to help the team win? Gotta cater to the readers at all. After the player leaves, there's no need for that level of restraint, so of course the editors let that information out at that point.

  7. Because he's about to get really expensive, and Florida is allergic to spending money.
  8. When they build a new one, if they build a new one, I'd love to see a few games still played in the old Fens for history's sake.
  9. Kinda sad. At least when it's Fenway's time, it might be preserved for history.
  10. I'd ask if it was time to start talking Hanley but he keeps getting hurt. Guy really needs to move from SS. The effort requires to be a SS is killing his career. He's going to have to drop some pounds, and some power, to stay there IMHO.
  11. So? It's not like we don't have dry spells like this every year.
  12. is it clear yet that we need another bat? Please get something done Theo.
  13. That was, frankly, very pathetic. Wasted a very good start by Penny there.
  14. You mean Kottaras. Kind of an odd choice but he did have the dinger last night.
  15. Saito isn't fooling anyone.
  16. So... we need to make a move here.
  17. Looks like our offense has decided to take an early holiday sabbatical..
  18. That was a shot. Adios. Wow. Tek.
  19. Whoa. Penny's really got it today. Either that or the Mariners are just that bad.
  20. I like to take the hard side of arguments for the sake of argument, but not even I can save this one. There is NFW that Daisuke is better than Greinke.
  21. A hyped up Latin prospect of indeterminate age? Say it ain't so!
  22. I wonder how this game would have gone if Tito had told ramirez to pitch around Johnson, who we already knew was red hot tonight. It's pure hindsight. But still, I wonder.
