    I really enjoy watching GoldSchmidt play (not against the Red Sox). I have him on my fantasy team every year so I watch him a lot when I can. he's such an all around stud, he's a 1B with 17 stolen bases that hits for average, power and is good fielder.

    Yay, more sarcastic comments defending Farrell. Lets all take a moment to appreciate how good Farrell is at his job. Maybe today Ortiz can be on 3rd and he can pinch run for him with Craig Kimbrel!

    If I'm Dombrowski I'd try and convince the owners to let me just release him, it wasn't his signing and sometimes you need to cut your losses. I don't see where he fits in at all with Shaw, Hanley, Moncada and a potential signing of someone like Encarnacion next year. He's out of shape, overpaid, and his play has been horrible. I would say trade him, but who in the hell would actually WANT him?

    I don't know how people watch pre-season. I was watching part of the Steelers game tonight and holy s*** it was horrible football being played, turned it off after 5 minutes lol.

    Hanley and Sanchez collided at 1B on an infield single and Hanley was down for a little bit, he appears to be alright though.

    Some of you guys really do love Farrell. Some of his hate is unwarranted, but there is no logical reason to pinch run your best starting pitcher in a close game there. Wright himself admitted he most likely wouldn't score on a single, despite the fact there was two outs and "hoped" he could score on a double. He had literally no experience running the bases in the MLB ever, him injuring himself while taking a lead on 2nd was a clear indication of that.

    I blame Farrell for having to remove Buchholz, not because he removed him because he's starting on Saturday so he didn't throw a lot of pitches, but due to the fact Farrell thought it would be a great idea to have our best starting pitcher pinch run in a close game. Wright literally had literally ZERO experience running the bases in his MLB career and based on what Wright said, he wasn't going to score on anything less than a double.. So, can someone explain to me why you would pinch run your best pitcher, who apparently is slow, has no experience, and the pitcher himself admitted he didn't think he could score from 2nd on a single with 2 outs where he should be running on contact.
