    Denard Span is a certified Red Sox killer. This guy literally is killing us this season.

    Whats crazy is a lot of these plays aren't even being ruled errors, but bad defensive plays are making the job harder for pitchers. There has been multiple times this season Nunez has bobbled a double play ball, and still gotten an out so it technically not an error. JD Martinez is same in the outfield, that is a hit but that ball needs to be caught.

    Remember the people in the game thread calling Sean Manaea a bum during his no hitter? He's now 4-2 (lol at him having 2 losses), leads league in wins, ERA and has allowed only 5 earned runs in 44 innings this season.

    I like this lineup, I think I'd prefer Mookie lead off still, but would love Xander 2nd, he seems like a perfect 2nd place hitter.

    You are right, Scott Cooper's 1993 season has a lot to do with JBJ allegedly not improving in that three year span, "nothings changed".

    Yup, nothings changed, he wasn't an an all star, didn't have a 5+ WAR season, wasn't a 3 WAR player last year. You are right, he's a s***** character who should only be a defensive replacement. Great take there, buddy.

    Half you guys bitching about that hat (and honestly who cares, do you think a millionaire MLB pitcher really cares if you respect them?) don't even even realize a lot of the guys do have reasons for the hat tilts, or special things they wear under their uniforms, whether it be superstition, honoring a family member, etc. Fernando Rodney's sideways hat is honoring his dead father. Colome could have a similar reason, who knows/cares, it doesn't impact the game in anyway whatsoever.

    And JBJ is an awful character guy because he said Eck's comments about him struggling motivated him? Okay, yeah.

    If you want to complain about his offensive struggles, sure, whatever, but his character? That is absolutely uncalled for. JBJ has been nothing but a great professional since being called up. Plays the game the right way, hustles and is good teammate. He's one of the more likeable guys on the team IMO.

    Another game thread turning into a s*** show. Every time the Red Sox lose a game, its the end of the world, and now were involving racists remarks about Alex Colome in here too? Absolutely awesome guys.
