  1. Problem being, we'll have to pay out the ass just to acquire Young and a catcher. Forget about asking the Rangers to eat salary on top of it.
  2. Michael Almanzar. Texas wants a third base prospect in return.
  3. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3828430 Gabe Kapler to the Rays.
  4. Aren't the Brewers trying to shed payroll? Acquiring Young pretty much sets that up in flames. Plus I doubt the Sox get two great players in the same trade from one team, while only giving up two pitching and two position prospects.
  5. I say he winds up with either Baltimore or Washington.
  6. He'll play second base, but not third. Okay.
  7. That is bad news for Indy. Doesn't matter that his replacement is already picked out.
  8. Haha didn't know about his new deal. Something tells me he's doomed. No team in their right mind would take on that money for a player that just makes contact... but who doesn't have top-flight HR power, and who's slow as s***. Maybe the Yankees will swing a midseason trade for him if Hanky wets himself once he sees that his Yankees are just par with the competition. I can only hope.
  9. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3824249 Johnson Nolasco Miller Volstad Sanchez Don't see where Pedro fits.
  10. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3826455 I wonder if Theo would explore a package deal with Texas for both Young and a catcher (preferably Teagarden or Ramirez). I know we don't need Young right now, but its an interesting prospect to get another hitter for the lineup, put either Young or Pedy in the leadoff spot, move Ellsbury down to #9, and fill the catcher role. Severely doubt that its even talked about, but you never know.
  11. YES That means Raheem Morris stays with the Bucs.
  12. That's awesome. Papelbon Okajima Masterson Saito Ramirez Lopez Littleton Health permitting, that is a stacked bullpen. I would guess that Delcarmen is the one leaving through a catcher trade (just a feeling), so that's why I left him off.
  13. Well, good to see he's scraped together some I.Q. points since then.
  14. I'm going to kick 2ksports in the nuts for making s***** baseball games. Then I'm going to kick EA in the nuts twice, for being dumbshits. Madden was the only NFL game anyone ever bought anyway.
  15. Is MVP Baseball ever coming back? I'm trying to keep with the current rosters in MVP 2005, and that s*** is a mess now.
  16. So he's locked up till he's 37. I'd say that qualifies as his late thirties. Way to stay with the times.
  17. Every time I think Tim Redding, I think of that game in 2005. And I smile.
  18. Depends on what propsects we're talking about (for Fielder).
  19. Let him walk. The Orioles (one catcher ATM), Nationals (three terrible ones), Mets, Padres, and Astros all have catcher needs to some degree. Varitek will get picked up. Probably sometime in early February.
