TO? f*** that. We need a speed guy. We should have signed Devery Henderson. Does Torry Holt still have any speed left (haven't watched the Rams much, if at all), enough to be considered a decent speed receiver? I wouldn't mind giving him a whirl if he does.

Since Cassel isn't a possibility, I wonder if we'll go after Tyler Thigpen. He showed some promise with the Chiefs, and he would come a lot cheaper than Cassel. Or option B, sign a one/two year stopgap (Rex Grossman or J.P. Losman) and groom Josh Johnson.

Actually the more I think about it, the more I think the Bucs should pull the trigger on this. The talent in this year's 1st round isn't great, and if all the good DTs and OLBs are off the board once we're up... we'll probably get not making this deal. And its hell of a lot better than drafting Josh Freeman.

According to Schefter, the Pats are discussing a Matt Cassel trade with the Bucs. We would be giving a 1st and next year's 2nd to New England. IMO, that's way too steep a price. No link BTW, just saw this on a Bucs forum I post at.

2nd and a 5th I heard. What the f*** is wrong with these people?? You don't trade 2nd round picks for tight ends period, let alone after you just cut one quarter of your starting players and you're in rebuilding mode. Sweet jesus.

But he can shoot, and he can play some defense. I liked him as a small two-guard/off-guard for the future (not a nucleus player, but a nice sixth man).
