  1. I think it's deep enough to sustain 8 million. If he turns out to be another Lugo, what did Lugo's contract really cost us, It's not like we would have signed Tex if we didn't have that money wrapped up in Lugo
  2. Yeah I know 8 million might be a lot for Guzman who isn't incredible but I'm pretty sure we have pretty damn deep pockets.
  3. You must have negative confidence in Guzman to think he is a downgrade from GREEN.
  4. Think I would take Guzman over any of them except maybe Wilson, but doesn't he have a option for next year?
  5. Yeah I know but what we have right now absolutely sucks, we would almost be better having beckett hit for Green, Lowrie and Woodward. Either way hope it works out as do you even if you aren't on board with it since we all just want to see the Sox do well!! Hypothetical question: what if he does help us this year and we do make a run deep into the playoffs and he preformed better than you thought, would that 8 million next year be that bad even if he doesn't preform as well?
  6. Just saying that if you don't believe past performance is a good predictor then don't worry about past stats whether they prove your point or not
  7. Not using his past performance as a reason to make this move, using Green and Lowrie's current performance as reason to make this move, he is a proven MLB SS, who granted isn't a consistent All-Star caliber SS is in my opinion good enough. I guess we will just have to see what happens if they get him and how he preforms, that's really all we can do
  8. Haven't you been saying that the only predictor of future success is futrue success. You can't say that some numbers that are an upgrade aren't a predictor of future success but the ones that really aren't and upgrade are a predictor
  9. This is why I say it isn't ideal, obviously ideal would be getting Hanley, but i'd take a shot with Guzman as long as it doesn't cost us a prospect. If we stay with Green and Lowrie this year and into next year what is our solution in the offseason?
  10. I'd go with Guzman over ultimate suck, at least he gives us a chance to improve our team. throwing Green and woodward out there everyday gives us very little chance of success at the SS position, where as Guzman gives us a MLB player who has been in starting lineups before. Nick Green and Chris Woodward have no place in a starting lineup especially the Red Sox. This might not be the ideal way to improve the SS position and yes we will be stuck with his 8 million next year, which might be a little overpriced, but Nick Green and Woodward suck ass and even if Lowrie comes back this year whose to say he won't suck just as bad as he has since coming back the first time. Do you really want to put up with that for the rest of the year?
  11. Yup and our offense needs to wake up, until tomorrow all don't get to drunk and depressed
  12. Yeah I like Everybody loves Raymond
  13. 100% agreed, Ban him
  14. Message deleted, and you are laying into Diony good and I like it
  15. Knew you wouldn't like that, FYI I have a few cats and love them so I'm actually not doing that
  16. Don't really think anyone cares how you feel
  17. Usually he hits line drive lasers, hes just getting under it and flying out every time. Very Unlike him
  18. I think It would be awesome if we sneak in ass the wildcard, then ass rape the Angles like usual and then absolutely tear apart the high flying Yankees, we have the team to do it just with some holes and a lot of slumping players
  19. Hope that all pans out how you said, we need some sort of a shot in the arm and motivation
  20. Me why should I be banned?
