Drank a couple of beers and had a victory cigar, went to be around 2, woke up, didn't feel like going into work so I played sick and enjoyed the day off. And tomorrow is a normal day off for me so I can still be around the the parade!

Jon Lester, inspiration for us all

A lot of inspirational stories this season. Lester's World Series start, Joba's Major League debut, Josh Beckett's two out single bloop... Inspiration for us all. -
National World War Two Museum in New Orleans. And Feller did make comments about the whole Pete Rose issue and was against Rose getting into the Hall of Fame, that's the most I've heard about him so far as being an ass. Anyone want autographs while I'm there from him or Dom DiMaggio, or whoever else may show up?

The Rockies deserved to be there just as much as the Red Sox, but the better team won, regardless. And I agree with mtbkyr, give credit where it is due. The Rockies were amazing this year in the National League and throught the postseason, defeating San Diego, sweeping the Phillies, sweeping the Diamondbacks, making it to their first World Series, that's an accomplishment in it's own. But it doesn't make them "better". These aren't the movies, where the underdog is better in spirit, who's better is the one with better numbers.

George Kottaras .316 OBP, .408 SLG, .724 OPS, .241 BA, 9 HR, 39 RBI Those first three numbers are respectable, looks like he can hit pretty okay. Any info if he'll be at Red Sox spring training?

That's a lot more we can say than other Sox fans who died long since 2004. My great uncle was a huge fan, having coming down here from Boston in the 50s. He died in 2001 and never got to see any of them, and he pretty much taught me all I know about them, so I feel that 2004 was for him, and now 2007 is for me to enjoy.

So would Cash or Kottaras come in to catch for Wakefiled? Or can Tek do it all now? Really I'm not too excited about Wakefield coming back. Just because he says he feels good doesn't mean he's gonna perform good, but we've got 5 months to find that out I suppose. I'd still like a trade between Crisp and Gagne/Delcarmen for a starter.

Coco + Gagne/Delcarmen for a SP? I like the sound of that. Ellsbury would start next season. I hope Lowell resigns, and I wouldn't mind havint Schilling for another year, but I think Wakefield needs to give it up. God I'll miss him but I just don't think he's got it in him for another year. That's where the new SP would go from my Coco-Bullpen trade theory. So next year's rotation would be Schilling Beckett Matsuzaka Buchholz/Lester? Traded SP

Much love to everyone here. It was a wonderful season sparked with events with the Red Sox and MLB all around. Sure is gonna suck to not have any games to watch. On another side of baseball, I got accepted to NABA (National Adult Baseball Association) to play during the winter, I'll be posting pics and stats and what not when I start next week. Now let's all kick back, bask in the glory, and laugh as we see a flow of frontrunners hit the Introduce Yourself board.
