It's not his ego, it's just his mouth. I like Schilling, and I agree with most of the things he talks about, but he's not in any position to really do anything, other than give an opinion, which for the most part just makes him look like a loud mouthed ass, in which sometimes he is. If he were in some sort of position of power, as in MLB brass it would be different, but his bitching isn't going to help anything. Sure he's getting his point across but at the end of the day can anyone point out what good it does?

It has nothing to do with everyone having to agree with me. I've already said, people are entitled to their opinions, and YES even YOU can have your criticsm about what I think. To be more specific I just think you're taking it further than it needs to go. I understand you wish to debate my thoughts, and by all means go for it, it's good to have a conversation. As said, I think you're just taking it to uneeded extremes is all. You didn't see me jump on redsoxrules when he called it BS. Why do you have to jump on me? All I'm saying is you could be a little more decent about it instead of putting a lamp to my face.

So now it's a crime to have faith in people you like and to have some form of trust in a person? And yeah, I like Papelbon... you don't? If you don't belive the story, so be it that's your God given right. But why come down on me because I believe it? Soley because I follow those I like? Isn't that the situation in life? You follow people you like? And it doesn't always depend on whether I like someone or not. For example, I don't like Derek Jeter, I don't. But if someone came out saying he took steroids, I wouldn't believe it. I don't think he'd do steroids. So really, lay off of me, it's getting annoying. And off the record is that Andy Kaufman in your avatar?

If it turns out as a gag, I'll laugh. This is something I'd expect Papelbon to do, he's crazy like that. I wouldn't be surprised if Varitek egged him to do it too!

Isn't McGwire under scruitny for steroids? I don't think he belongs should he be confirmed as having used steroids. Now if they can't get a case on him, I'll bit my tounge. And Rose's play against Fosse was pure baseball. I don't think Rose had a grduge on Fosse, he just wanted to win, and not using steroids he had to play hard.

4,256 hits, that's not something just anyone can do. And it shows how well of a hitter Rose truely was. He didn't need the longball to make success. Rose played the game for what it was, and got screwed over gambling. And he claims, and I believe him, he never bet against his team. He had faith in his team to bet on them to always win. Even more so... betting on a team doesn't risk changing the outcome of the game, where as using roids to increas strength, you could change a double into a home run. Rose didn't do anything that could affect the outcome of the game. Especially if he bet on them to win, because isn't that the objectve to begin with... to win?

What sucked for me was that I had missed Games 2-6 of the ALCS because the damn cruise ship I was on had it's satellite knocked out. So I'd have to wait and wait to find out who won. I was lucky some nights to find that hte BBC channel actually reported the results. Each time I heard Cleveland was winning, I was thinking "Oh s***." Then when they had come back I was thinking "f***ing yes!". FINALLY we had good reception for Game 7, so I sat in this lobby of the ship with some other people, mostly old guys who have nothing better to do than waste money on a cruise (maybe Fred was there). I was sitting next to a guy who was a Cleveland fan and he looked to his friends and said "I bet Ted Williams can finally rest easy now." I then though about 1948 and realized, he sure could. Then when Coco made that leap of faith and based into the centerfield wall, just, the greatest thing ever.

Color my ass. I'm so sick of people pulling the race card for EVERYTHING these days. The reason no one's jumping is because it's still new. SURE people had suspected Clemens jucing long before the Mitchell report, just like people long suspected Bonds of jucing before the BALCO scandal. I think should another investigation occur with the federal courts, then more people will start the crusade against Clemens like they did on Bonds. And I hope they do. But I wish for ONCE people would quit pulling out the race card.
