  1. I don't think many of us are. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people predicted it.
  2. Add age and weight to boot.
  3. As old as he is I'm surprised he's still playing at all.
  4. Just a sample. http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i316/astronut22/talksox1.jpg I'm going to try and do all the old day players like Yaz, Foxx, Speaker, Young, Ruth, etc.
  5. American League East: Red Sox (I have faith). Central: Tigers West: Athletics Wild Card: Angels National League East: Mets Central: Cardinals West: Dodgers Wildcard: Phillies
  6. Lowell's a good player. Like every ball player. I think he's just in a slump. I suspect he'll come out of it this season. He's 33, he's not a young hot shot anymore. Last year he came out batting .284 with 20 homers, and over all he's a good RBI man. I've always liked Lowell, I remember him when he played for Florida he was just a good hitter. Not the best, not power, but he brought guys in. I think it's best the Sox keep on to him just a little longer.
  7. Brendan Fraser?
  8. My all around ideal pitcher would have to be a combination of Josh Beckett and Curt Schilling. Put Beckett's young speed with Schilling's experience, BOOM. Perfect games are bound to come.
  9. Like I said, Jeter just happened to get caught. And how often do you see a baserunner purposely blocking the ball like that?
  10. It's 1 in the freaking morning and I've been at work all damn day. I had a hunch it was Arroyo, but didn't want to say it thinking I may be wrong.
  11. So I can't recall 1 person from a game THREE years ago? I'm a fan, but I don't sit down and memorize the events of the game play by play, second by second. The fact is Jeter got caught and the umps saw it. He knew the ball was coming for him. He cheated. As far as second base, I don't recal the last time I've seen a miss. Usually they're right in front and the side of the foot taps the corner of the bag.
  12. You've got a point there. And it is true. But Varitek took on ARod when ARod yelled out to (who was pitching that game)? I do admit, there wasn't a need for the fight (though it was kick ass). And I did frown on Varitek for it. But a fight is a lot different from cheating in a game.
  13. During a game in 2004, he hits a grounder and as he's running, he gets IN the path of the ball coming up the baseline to keep him from getting out at first. It's a desperate attempt for a desperate person. Before that I actually did like and respected Jeter. But I can't stand it when people have to go and pull s*** like that. I know it's a little thing, but it still isn't right. After seeing that, I lost my respect for him. A-Rod? I wouldn't want him for Boston either. I lost respect for him too when he went and bitch slapped the ball out of Arroyo's glove like a little girl. It's that kind of BS that made me lose my respect for them. Those two, Giambi, and Sheffield are probably the only Yankees I'd never want to see in a Red Sox uniform.
  14. Personally, in my opinion, the first time should call for a lifetime ban. No second chances. If you're dumb enough to do it the first time, then act dumb like you didn't know you were taking steroids, well then that's a load of crap. Giambi, Sheffield, Bonds, all the juicers should be given a lifetime ban. It's stupid, because here these guys are, taking something to help them cheat, and they let them play, but in 1919, the White Sox have some players purposely throw the game, and they couldn't even prove Joe Jackson played bad because he played great through the entire season, yet all of them were banned. And even Rose, who simply gambled (I know they can't gamble, but it's not helping either team get the advantage) on games was then not allowed into the hall of fame, despite an amazing career. It sickens me to see this stuff happen. HOW can you look at a player that's done something like steroids? Even corke bats. My respect for Sammy Sosa went down entirely when that crap went down. These people come from all over the world with "hopes and dreams" well then they shouldn't be stupid to throw it away with cheats. That's where I stand. First offense = Lifetime ban.
  15. It's not gonna be on this year's roster!!! I don't play this season!!! Besides, I wanna see you guys chat about the Zephyrs and see what you say about me when you don't even know it is me.
  16. Bah I gotta go in for another physical because I had a sprained ankle last year and they want to double check on it. It stiffs up now and then and a tad tight at times, but it's getting better. Problem is it's my right ankle and I throw right so it's my pivot foot and that's been causing me some problems when I wind up. If I do the streatch pitch there's no problem.

  19. Green Monster... there's no way you're the #1 Fan in Louisiana, you'd have to get through me to get that title...
  20. That was my first impression. Then I realized who it was.
  21. The best player in the MLB is no doubt Chipper Jones! Just kidding, Albert Pujols.
  22. The dude is set for life and then some... Good for him, the lucky bastard.
  23. Man what did he do in the off season? Give all his fat to Schilling???
