  1. Nice to meet you too troll. Apparently you're blind to sarcasm.
  2. No, I know Beckett isn't 30. Again, I made a general estimate. And the Clemens thing is in reference to the fact he's 44 and still pitching, with some heat actually, which we don't normally see, so one could jokingly say it isn't natural and that he must be eating babies. Yeah, f***ed up I know but it's the only thing I thought off. I thought about pulling the juice card but that would have sparked a flame war.
  3. No, because I didn't know Beckett's and Sabathia's EXACT age to know in 10 years they still won't be 40, but close enough to it to make a general statement. You know how people always estimate things like "Ten years from now..." or "In two years time..." That's what I was doing.
  4. The point is I make a general statement, which is obvious, and you get all Rambo over me.
  5. WOW so I don't know their EXACT age! Execute me now please! I was making a general statement. And when in the Hell did I say Adam makes me look good?
  6. Only reason Clemens is still playing is because of his name and the fact he eats a live baby before every start. But when they're all gone, the cycle will start all over again. 10 years from now we'll be talking about Josh Beckett and C.C. Sabathia and how much they've gone down but are still pitching at 40+. It's nothing new.
  7. But Takashi Saito is! Right? Right!?
  8. I think he's Hall of Fame material. I really do. He's played a long time and really went out there and played.
  9. My mistake! I looked at the wrong stat. Will fix. Fixed. Also, I haven't hear anything if they'll be benching him after 3,000 or not.
  10. http://content.clearchannel.com/Photos/sports_photos/MLB/Astros/craig_biggio_RonaldMartinez.jpg Craig Biggio (Second Baseman, Houston Astros) is at 2,996 hits. He's FOUR hits away from the 3,000 Club, and almost at the door in Cooperstown. Biggio took today off but is planned to be back in the lineup for Tuesday night's game against the Brewers, where many Astros and baseball fans in general are awaiting history. Biggio's 2007 and carrer stats are as follows: 2007 Stats G: 69 AB: 277 H: 66 Avg: .238 RBI: 26 2B: 21 3B: 3 HR: 5 SLG: .390 OBP: .279 BB: 15 HBP: 1 SO: 58 Career Stats G: 2,778 AB: 10,636 H: 2,996 Avg: .282 RBI: 1,151 2B: 658 3B: 55 HR: 286 SLG: .435 OBP: .365 BB: 1,152 HBP: 283 SO: 1,692
  11. Not really sorry for him. He's just a good yet underrated player. Like Mike Lowell was in Boston. He'll break out soon I'm sure.
  12. You sure you're a Red Sox fan?
  13. I really didn't look at the stats. Just players I'd like to see in it. I bit biased I know.
  14. Who'd you guys all vote for the All-Star game? Here's mine.
  15. I love his face as he's getting into form on the mound. Cheeks puffed out and killer like eyes. He's a nasty pitcher and the greatest closer I've seen in a while.
  16. Okay, I can understand the A-Rod "Mine!" deal. Technically yes it's cheating. But there's got to be different levels of cheating. Now if A-Rod said "Mine" all the time, then that's a different story. But there's a fine line between saying "Mine" to confuse a fielder to reach a base than someone juicing up to add another big fly to their stats.
  17. Sammy play the baseball, bery bery good. He hit ball bery far. He hit ball with corked bat. Sammy cheat bery bery good. http://www.latinosportslegends.com/images/sosa_corked_bat.jpg He's just like the rest of them. A cheater. He should NOT be allowed in. If Pete Rose can't get in for gambling, then these guys shouldn't be allowed in for what they did.
  18. Let's face it, the Cubs are going nowhere this year. And losing Barrett isn't going to help them in any way. But then again, keeping him wouldn't help either because before you know it it's gonna be Barrett and Soriano duking it out.
  19. There's no stopping Beckett is there? 6 Innings and 4 hits. All-Star.
  20. Well, if it's in the rules...
  21. Do you think he should be eligable for the Hall of Fame? I don't want to get into the, "Well Giambi juiced" or the Bonds stuff. Focus on what Rose did. He bet on games as a manager, which in the rules, is not permitted. But, do you think he should still be allowed into the Hall of Fame? I think he should, but as a player. If memory serves me correctly, either players can make bets, or he wasn't betting at the time he was a player. But Pete Rose his Hall of Fame material. He deserves to be in Cooperstown with the best of 'em.
  22. Good point. Damn you Green Monster! DAMN YOU!
