  1. After Drew's sudden change of mind and going to Boston the other year. I have no doubt is was all Boras. I hope someday these owners will just refuse to sign his players and let them sit out a season for their / his greed. I will give credit to him for getting the most for his clients. Though I despise him for his methods and tactics. I hope he rots in hell someday.
  2. My only hope is that, Frank refuses to sign anymore of Boras's declining players. Since that will never happen. I figure he'll be back next year and spend his remaining years on the DL like all the others.
  3. I liked Cora, as well as Roberts. Cora and Izturis were the best SS & 2B combo I have ever seen.
  4. Gagne, Hull, Drew, Lugo, Cora, Roberts
  5. In all honesty. I think he's off the roids and on the BBQ and jelly doughnuts. Guy came int ST looking like a sumo wrestler. He is still swinging at anything that comes from the pitchers hand. I'd bet he's even swing at a rosin bag if thrown to him. You are right. Ned has made some costly decisions, Schnidt, Pierre, Jones but at least we still have the kids.
  6. He's not bad, but he is very hard to predict. Sometimes he comes in and gets the job done other times you will wish he was back in AAA. He will eat innings but needs a short leash.
  7. Juan needs to be run over by a bus and it would be nice if A Jones was standing beside him.
  8. Hopefully not for long
  9. Should have pitched Gagne sooner.
  10. Best big game QB I ever saw was Montanna. Before him Bradshaw. I could care less about their numbers. I know if a big game is being played. Those are the two guys I'd want behind the center. Staubach would be another. Manning is a great player and I love watching him but he still needs to take it up another level.
  11. Gagne did the same thing in LA when Loduca was traded. The two back up catchers did not know how to call his pitches. Your catchers need to understand what his pitches can do. They should go back and look at some of his old games when Loduca was catching him. The hitters never knew what was coming and very rarely did they ever get two fastballs or change ups in a row and never in the same location. He moved his location around on almost every pitch. That's what made him unhittable. Gagne is like a Ferrari. Sure anyone can with a license can drive one. Till you understand what the car is capable of. It's just another car. I don't think it's him. Not putting down your catcher but given the short time he's been with the club. I don't think they are on the same page. Go on you tube and watch him when he was a Dodger. You will see how hitters struggled with him. When he is being used right. Most batters will buckle at least once or twice in an AB.
  12. Gagne is not an 8th inning pitcher. Never was nor will he be. He loves to challenge hitters but without a 95+ fastball he's smoke and mirrors. After LoDuca was tradedt. he was never on the same page with any of the worthless catchers (Ross,Mayne,Bako,Navarro). He did do rather well with Martin for a short time. In fact. He flew Martin to his home in the off season and worked out with him. Paulie knew what to call and when to call it, Russell did as well. The few games I have seen Gagne pitch in Tex. he struggled and looked rather shaky. Might not be a bad idea for him and the catchers to get together. Let him show them what he has.
  13. What's funny is. If he gets on the stand. Shill's Lawyer can ask if he ever did steroids and all kinds of other questions Barry never answers. He can also call Sheff and Greg Anderson. I think the more that Barry looks at this , the more he will realize it's not in his best interest
  14. Wonder why he never sued the writers of Game of shadows?
  15. A few weeks ago I followed a drunk driver for 6 miles talking to 911 because they were unable to get a police car to come and pull him over. We even went past the Police station and they still did not have a car to come pull him over. This guy was ALL over the road. Several times I backed off thinking he was going to head on someone. I have lost family and friends to Drunken drivers. I applaud what Curt did. Same goes for his talking about Bonds. Someday the truth will come out. It's only a matter of time. I'm sure he's paid Anderson enough not to talk but the longer he rots in jail. The less that money will mean to him. I hope to hell he hit his HR at Dodger stadium. The love and acceptance he so craves will not be there.
  16. MILWAUKEE — In the offices of Dodger Stadium, executives will meet this week to discuss a scenario that could horrify Dodgers fans: If Barry Bonds ties or breaks the home run record in Los Angeles, how would the Dodgers commemorate the occasion? The question is not merely theoretical, not with Bonds stuck at 753, two shy of tying Hank Aaron's record. The San Francisco Giants play at home this week, then visit Dodger Stadium, and Bonds has not hit three home runs within a week in more than two months. Bonds did not play Sunday in the Giants' 7-5 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers. Commissioner Bud Selig will not be in attendance in San Francisco tonight and has no current plans to fly there, spokesman Patrick Courtney said. If Bonds ties and breaks the record this week, the Giants will celebrate wildly, on the spot, all praise to the hometown hero. If Bonds makes history in L.A., the Dodgers might well temper the celebration, since most of their customers do not hide their contempt for Bonds. The video of the moment would be replayed forever, with a cascade of boos as the soundtrack. On the other hand, Bonds could save himself a ransom payment for the milestone ball. "He could hit it in our bullpen, and one of us can catch it and give the ball back to him," San Francisco reliever Steve Kline said. "I'm afraid some Dodger fan might jump down there and try to stab me. Who knows what kind of weapons they might carry. They're rough." Dave Roberts, the Giants outfielder who played in L.A. from 2002 to 2004, said Dodger Stadium would not be the appropriate place to hit either of the milestone home runs. "I don't think it would be appreciated as much as it should be," Roberts said. "Hopefully, he breaks it in front of the fans that are loyal to him." How would he define the proper level of appreciation? "If they boo in the stands, it's underappreciated," Roberts said. "It's one of the greatest records of all time, in all of sports. Every person in the stadium, in whatever stadium it is, should be on their feet, appreciating the moment." Bonds did not speak with reporters Sunday. The Giants open a seven-game homestand tonight, and Manager Bruce Bochy said he would play Bonds in five or six of those games. "Any time Barry is not in the lineup right now, you realize there will be a lot of disappointed fans. That's pretty obvious," Bochy said. "It will be even more so now…. At the same time, I don't want to wear him down." He might already be worn down, at least right now, batting .107 in his last 10 games. With the Giants in last place in the National League West, Kline wondered whether their front office might privately hope Bonds keeps hitting like this, unintentionally prolonging the chase to the record. "I think they want to drag this out, because of the way we're playing," Kline said. "That'll put more butts in the seats. The more he drags this on, the more the Giants' office will like it. They can sell some more tickets."
