  1. OK, can we please stop leaving them loaded every single game. It would be nice to actually get some runs from those situations.
  2. That bad call against Lowell is looking big.
  3. Well, JD Does have a good bat. He is a career .283, .391, .501 hitter (.892 OPS). Although he isn't a big HR hitter. The real problem is that he can't ever play a full season. He'd probably have 100RBIs, 20-30 HRs if he could play 150+ games.
  4. The problem is that Dice-K was hyped up way to much. We were all expecting to get a dominant Ace, someone who could contend for a cy young year in year out. Unfortunately, what we really have is a middle to back of the rotation type of guy. He's got the stuff, but these injuries and wildness are worrisome.
  5. OMG Tek. Maybe we need to move Tek into the 3-spot. We could use some runners on base when he goes deep.
  6. TEK! Before the season, who woulda thunk that Tek would be 2nd on the team with 9HR right now.
  7. Beckett better have his stuff. Oh, and not get it spoiled by Paps.
  8. Jesus, STOP WALKING PEOPLE. They really need to train Dice-k. Hook him up to some electrodes and every time he walks someone, Francona should shock him.
  9. Dice-K blows and the Japanese pitchers trend continues.
  10. Ehh, I don't like Ortiz hitting before Lowell. What ever, get a win.
  11. Wow Paps. Wow. Quit the sucking already.
  12. Don't get me wrong on Ells either, I am satisfied with his production so far this year... but not impressed. I consider him the necessary GG center fielder and any production he gives us is a plus. I do expect him to improve over time though.
  13. So Ellbury has a .332 OBP right now (.336 is the MLB average right now), in the middle of a hit streak. I would think that number should be MUCH higher when a hitter is hot, right? I considered him a bust last year. Right now he is a work in progress.
  14. Bay is still the man and Tek looks like he got robbed. Another foot and that ball is unreachable.
  15. Great. Runners on 2nd and 3rd, no outs, and we fail to score. 6-9 is atrocious.
  16. We might never see another 1-2 punch as good as Manny-Ortiz. Just move on. Youk-Bay is still a real good 1-2 punch.
  17. That statement makes zero sense. In the same sentence you say he will "hurt our D big time" and "It can't hurt". Which is it? I think that's a terrible idea. If he has a couple errors and costs the team a win because of his defense, how will that "not hurt". Ortiz just needs to get off this team right now. I don't care how, I don't care where he goes, he just shouldn't be in the lineup right now.
  18. I said this before, that HR he hit meant jack s***. Until he gets his legs back underneath him and can routinely get solid contact on fastballs, he's worthless. I love him, but at this point, he needs to figure it out in AAA, not the big league club. Once he proves he can hit again, then let him back in the big boys lineup. The past means jack s***, all that matters is the present.
  19. I love having Youk back in the lineup. 2-1 Sox.
  20. Way to suck Beckett, way to suck.
  21. I used to really like the Marlins and Padres. I generally like young, talented teams and good pitching teams. I don't like teams with great offense and no pitching (Tex, Cin, etc), although they do provide some pretty funny games (thinks of Cin blowing a 6 run lead in the 9th inning a couple years ago). Oh, and the Nats are always entertaining... but not in a good way for baseball. Nowadays, though, I don't really have another "favorite" team. Some teams I like more than others, but I guess I just enjoy all sides.
  22. I've only been to Fenway, old Yankee Stadium, Camden, and Philly's Citizen Bank Park. I hope to get to more in the future.
  23. While the Sox don't need Peavy and I certainly wouldn't want him coming over here to be an "ace", I wouldn't mind seeing the Sox replace Penny with him. I mean, he couldn't possibly make our rotation any worse. The price tag, though, would be the problem, and I don't think I would want to be paying him $12 mil a year.
