    NESN broke down his numbers recently and his errors reduced by about one half each month. I believe he has only made 1 error this month. I think it's safe to say he has greatly improved at SS and the errors he made earlier in the season are not likely to happen again (as often).

    I just don't get why it is taboo or something. If an American player refused to talk "directly" to the media he would get crucified, but it's fine for non-American players to fake not speaking English?

    A ton of Asian pitchers pull that crap and get away with it. I remember Ichiro talking in perfect English to a 1st baseman that was miked up (not realizing it), yet he always "needs" a translator with the media. I'm a bit surprised no one in the media have ever called them out on it.

    Paps is just being honest. Lets face it, probably 90%+ of players would go to the team offering more money. I'm not sure a single player on our team (maybe Wakefield) would turn down a better contract from NY to stay with Boston. It's just the way it is, and kudos to Paps for admitting it.
