I just have to ask, though, did you actually watch the Sox back in '03, because I just can't imagine how you could have screwed that up. The first thing that pops into my head when thinking about that '03 team was that bomb.
I agree on you're feelings about Wake. I love him, he's a great guy, great bargain, but I disagree a little bit to the extent of "misery" when Wake is pitching bad. I personally don't get worked up, because I expect his fair share of awful outings and the amazing outings completely outweigh the bad, in my mind.
The guys I can't stand to watch pitch poorly are our Aces (Beckett, Lester). The beginning of this season was far worse (to watch) than any bad outing(or stretches) from Wake. I have to mention Dice-K, all the walks (and recent suck) are almost unbearable.
