  1. You think you can count on Pettitte for a full season? I see you left out all the other big ?. It's not Yankees hate man. Their roster is old. Looking at the division both TB and Toronto have more attractive rosters. The Yankees and Red Sox are very similar in if they catch a few breaks and bounce backs they are right there contending, but just a few flops from from a busted season.
  2. This team s maybe one SP and a couple bounce backs from being a contender in the East. Of course they are a couple of face plants from turning into a grease fire again too The team is going to be interesting to start the season out.
  3. Bit high on AAV, but that's the MO this winter. No issues with it here.
  4. Hmm ya I had forgotten about Santana. They have the money to eat that contract. I wouldn't be against it as long as the B's and De la Rosa aren't involved.
  5. One year deal is great. I like this move. They can let Iggy develop more or dangle him in a package for a SP. If Bogaerts has a bg season he could get bumped up early for a 2014 debut.
  6. One year deal. I like it. I hope he wears #7 lol

  8. We would have to be wearing our rose color glasses to believe they are the favorite right now example^ I would rather have TB or Toronto's roster over the Yankees right now. And this isn't Yankee hate. I've grown to respect the organization while disliking them as my teams rival. But I feel if I were a Yankee fan I would be scared by the age and amount of ? on the roster. Arod, Jeter, Youk, Gardner, Mo, and even Pettitte are all to some extent health risks and the Yanks will need almost all of those to work out for them to have a successful season.
  9. I know. But they are putting a lot of hope into a Knuckleballer. I have a hard time believing he's the final piece to a Championship. But saying that, the AL East is as wide open as it has been in recent memory.
  10. I'm not against a Drew signing. If they did sign him I would dangle Iggy to the Tigers for Porcello. Detroit needs a good SS and can hide his bate in that line up. Porcello has 3 controllable years left and has some upside. thoughts?
  11. Has power, K's a fair amount. Has an absolute howitzer for an arm. Range is ok.
  12. So Toronto is negotiating an extension for Dickey, and word is he might not give the same 2/25M deal he was talking with the Mets. Could get pushed to 15M AAV for the extension. This is such an awful move for the Blue Jays. Giving up top talent and paying a 38 year old lot of money. They are really all in at this point.
  13. I'm guessing unless someone else is brought in it will be his job until around the TDL, maybe even the whole season.
  14. I doubt very much he is available and I shutter to think what he would cost. Plus he like Nomar, has injury issues. Aside from the fact he needs to be extended, Andrus is a really good fit. Just don't see Texas giving him up.
  15. Out of all the teams I'd pick TB. They have deep pitching and a good BP. They have some nice offensive pieces, still a work in progress. Yankees are old, O's are coming back to earth whether O's fans want to admit it and they still lack any proven top end SP, Red Sox have wholes and I don't care for Toronto's mix of talent all that much.
  16. Brentz is like Burnitz 2.0, which really isn't bad. He wasn't a super star or perennial AS, but he was a decent OF with a couple big years.
  17. Interesting thought moving Bogaerts to RF. If the Sox could manage an extension for Andrus it would work better. I don't think they will move him off SS unless he's bad or they get bring in a proven SS long term. BTW Texas wouldn't move Andrus for Upton. So it's doubtful the will move him for Ells.
  18. The only Ace we could get is a prospect with front line potential. Teheran has that.
  19. Atlanta is rumored to be looking to trade for Fowler. Means they still might be n the market for a CF and move Upron to LF. Both Ells and Fowler are on the verge of free agency. Fowler would probably be easier to re-sign, but if Atlanta is dangling Delgado or Teheran the Sox should look into it.
  20. They are built very similar to the 02-08 Yanks. Win a lot of games in the regular season but in the playoffs, if their hitting goes cold, their SP could be their undoing in the playoffs.
  21. Blanton signed with the Angels too.
  22. I meant AA not Dickey. Sorry for the confusion.
  23. The "bag" was way more entertaining
  24. If it all goes south he won't be around to have to deal with it anyways.
  25. It's just my opinion. But I feel the moves they made were a last big push for AA and his regime in Toronto. If they get off to a slow start with their high expectations seats are going to heat up quick. If they don't contend this season I expect him to be out in Toronto. Hence wy I think it could be a powder keg situation there.
