  1. Well they got 1 back
  2. Walks cost him that inning.
  3. DP be nice here
  4. Nice 1st for Bucks
  5. Ah yes, I do recall that now. Thanks
  6. So a NTC can block a waiver claim?
  7. That was my initial thought as well. Is he still 89-91 MPH or 92-94MPH? It should be a good gauge pf how strong his shoulder is at this point.
  8. Notice how he hasn't made any bold predictions recently? They have come back to bite him to often. Yes Jacko the Yankees are good, better then in recent years. If I was you I would be hoping the don't peak to soon though. That and your SP stay healthy. If the Yanks lose someone from their top 3, the Yankees could be a very different team. I know your allowed to be excited for your team. That's a given. But try not to be a douche.
  9. Chicago White Sox http://students.ou.edu/E/Richard.M.Eccles-1/ChicagoWhiteSox(Logo).gif VS Boston Red Sox http://www.shegolfs.com/boston-red-sox/red-sox-logo.jpg Jose Contreras(5-11) http://images.sportsnetwork.com/baseball/mlb/allsport/cwhitesox/contreras_jose4a.jpg VS Clay Buchholz(2-3) http://www.sonsofsamhorn.net/wiki/images/thumb/b/b8/Buchholz-nohitter.jpg/250px-Buchholz-nohitter.jpg Yes the Yanks took 2 of 3, but as the great Jimmy Dugan once said, http://us.ent4.yimg.com/movies.yahoo.com/images/dvdfile/20040406/8.jpg "There is no crying in Baseball"
  10. Beckett's FB seemed a little flat last night. Not really moving like it was when he was pitching really well this season. Is it concerning? To some extent yes. But it is just a 2 start stretch, and most pitchers have a couple bad starts here there. I think when the Rosters expand he should get a little extra rest. Maybe not miss a start, but shuffle the rotation a bit so Beckett and Lester get a couple extra days off. It might really help. But I would imagine there just going to let him work it out on the field. Which is fine too.
  11. This is true:lol: I was just trying to display that the idea has been brought up before. And that thinking about a Papelbon trade wasn't far fetched. Not just because I had said it. Sorry for the confusion.
  12. Papelbon is still elite. But since he stopped using his splitter as his put away pitch he has come back to Earth a bit. A lot of his saves have been the "let's put a bunch of guys on base and see how I can get out of it this time" genre. Add this with the contract issues and I think it is very possible to see the team having a legit reason to shop him. There are a few teams out there that if they add Papelbon would be upgraded immediately to a contender. Like I said before, I'm guessing he's a Cub next year. Seems to fit pretty good. Cubs have a good team. They lack a good closer. The team is running kinda flat this year after the last couple seasons disappointments. Papelbon could be a real jolt in the arm. I'm thinking a Papelbon for Josh Vitters type deal. The Sox have no one real close to taking over at 3B. Vitters might be able to take over for Lowell in 2011. Maybe sooner.
  13. As a SP. The Sox seem to always need some SP late(like most teams).
  14. I hope Wake takes the first half of and comes back after the AS break. Will give them a fresh veteran arm in the 2nd half. While not taking a full season wear and tear on Wakefield.
  15. What? His is 3.58. Beckett's is 3.38. CC has 14 wins. Tied with Becket, 1 more then Halladay, 2 more the Felix and 3 more then Greinke. Say all you want about W's being a flawed stat or a bad gauge. I would probably agree with you. But when it comes to Cy Young's the boters really like the big W totals. I'm not saying he's a lock to win it. But should be in the discussion.
  16. Would Penny be a good long man out of the BP? Or even a hard late inning thrower? I think they will place him on waivers and try and trade him. If they can't work anything out, pull him back and send him to the BP for the time being IMO.
