  1. He could have done a lot worse. As far as the guys in the pen go, pitch well and you won't have to worry about him:D
  2. Haha no I mean deal Papelbon in a separate trade. Not to the Mets. Sorry
  3. Neither. They need to figure out what they are doing with Papelbon before adding Bard to any deal IMO. If They are going with Papelbon for the long haul(offering him a BIG deal) then Bard should be expendable. If they trade Papelbon, Bard becomes untouchable. I think they can build a deal around Bowden++ and have it be a good offer.
  4. The same Beltran who needs micro fracture knee surgery? In no way outside of Grady Sizemore should Ellsbury be replaced. He has had a very good season. His Defense in CF is upper echelon. And he reeks havoc on the base paths. I really thought the trade thoughts about him would have cooled a little. I wouldn't mind Beltran in LF, RF, DH though. If it means Jacoby then pass. I'd rather have him in CF for the next 4+ years. Beltrans will be a COF/DH soon if his knee keeps acting up. I think Beltran with his injury concerns and big $(if the Mets are in dumping mode) could be had for a decent price. Bowden+OF+low level types is a solid offer. If healthy, Beltran would be very good in the Sox line up.
  5. There not albatross contracts. But for a team that is financially strapped those could seem like big $ deals.
  6. No worries here. Not sure ORS can handle the conversation though. Might get to out there for him. Or imaginative.
  7. So basically anyone who reads an article, posts here for everyone to see, then adds their own perspective about the topic is plagiarizing? This whole site is f***ed.... Listen I go off what I read a lot. But I also come up with a lot of my own scenarios. The ones you usually have issue with. If anything I think too much on my own. Why you won't consider anything unless someone of note has written about it...
  8. He could have been in "Planet of the Apes" with those arms lol
  9. TY I was pretty sure I was right about that.
  10. Pretty sure I didn't get it from you. But if it will help your ego I'll be sure to give you credit for anything coming out of the "Shire":D
  11. Pipe dream, fool, moron, idiot, how could you little brain allow you to make such an assumption?!?!?!?! ahhhhhhh..........
  12. ORS head might explode in this thread:D
  13. Oh ok. See I thought they could be placed on again but couldn't be pulled back.
  14. ???? I said put him on waivers again. Which they did earlier this month. If someone claims him, try and get something for him, and if they can't just let him go to whomever claimed him. Am I wrong in some way?
  15. Yes odds are they won't be. But they can still come up in a discussion. Especially if the discussion is about how their current team is financially strapped and apparently dumping $.
  16. Well actually the discussion was why the Mets would be worried about 2M. Someone mentioned them being broke. Then the discussion turned to who else might be available now because of financial reasons. Again get of your f***ing high horse, and don't respond if you don't care for what the current topic being discussed is. Your constant belly aching and whining about what gets discussed has become far more annoying and predictable then anything else. WE KNOW YOU DON"T LIKE TO TALK HYPOTHETICAL'S! GET OVER YOURSELF..... If all your going to do is drop in and tell us how much you dislike the conversation going on, please don't bother to post at all.....
  17. You have a point, but I would rather see him healthy first. Santana- # 10:$21M, 11:$22.5M, 12:$24M, 13:$25.5M, 14:$25M club option ($5.5M buyout) # full no-trade clause So he still has 4yrs/93M at least left on his deal.
  18. Jacko's first paragraph in Becketts bumpy, road thread And I find it funny you are sweeping AJ and Joba's August under the rug....
  19. The Sox should place him on waivers again, whoever claims him make a trade or let him go.
