  1. I think depending on Lowell is a mistake. I'm surprised you guys aren't really talking Tex. Dumping Lowell, moving Youk to 3rd would make your lineup amazing.
  2. No, but if those pitches are balls for Kaz, they are balls for Dice. At least they should be.
  3. Stop being a homer. Gameday has show 5 pitches to be strikes for Kazmir.
  4. So are the Red Sox tommorrow. Maybe they can all join Arod...tee time at 8 AM.
  5. You don't have Manny. There will be no heroism from Bay.
  6. How many pitches did Dice-K throw in the first?
  7. With that wind blowing in, that was a monster shot. Now time for a shut-down Kazmir performance.
  8. True, Mr. Strawman. Not my point at all, but a good one. The Strawman Strikes Back. That's like us saying if Joba, Posada, and Wang weren't hurt and Hughes and Kennedy pitched well, we'd be in the World Series against the Phillies. Return of the Strawman. Ellsbury is not far superior to any player in baseball, because he sucks. Melky does suck a more though. What the Yankees did or did not do has nothing to do with my point about the Sox. My point is that there are a lot of parallels here, and if you're season ended, you were one SP short.
  9. Taken from ESPN Insider. Enjoy.
  10. It is funny in a way. The guy least heralded out of our "big three" was Joba, who is the best of the bunch. Hughes and Buchholz were seen as future All-Stars, and both are back in the minors. Lester was a novel thought, an afterthought after Buchholz and Ellsbury. Remember the conversation of who was better going into the season? Ellsbury or Melky? Or how there was no room for Coco now that Ellsbury had so obviously supplanted him in CF? If you guys lose, I wish one of you would stand up and put the blame on the FO. If you had pulled the trigger on the deal for Santana, you could have avoided throwing a batting practice pitcher out there in game 4.
  11. I hope the fans in Fenway remember to cheerk Varitek. It may be the last time they see him in that uniform.
  12. Pettitte wants to come back, and it seems the feeling is mutual. If he comes back, and Moose returns, the Yankees will more than likely focus on one SP and two hitters. It's not happening, but let me dream of CC, Manny, and Tex for a few days.
  13. Am I the only one who thinks Maddon made a good choice? Kazmir and the ump hate each other [game 6]. He's got his whole pen rested, as Kaz doesn't usually go as deep into games as Shields does. Shields has been much better at home than on the road. He's putting his best pitcher up against your most ineffective starter this post-season [minus Wake] if it goes back to Tampa. What's not to like?
  14. The economy. At least there is a bright spot in Dice-K. October 16th....a bad day in Sox history. 2003 Game 7....and soon to be 2008 Game 5. Not to mention my brother's birthday. Go Rays!
  15. What you guys are learning is that yesterday has nothing to do with today and tomorrow. We learned that in 2004. You guys are learning that this year. If you had Manny, and he was hitting the way he was with the Dodgers, you'd be tied in this series. What's funny is that Manny is doing just fine without Ortiz. Manny in pinstripes baby!
  16. No matter what, the Rays celebrate in Fenway.
  17. I love how you guys believe that 2004 has anything to do with 2008. It's a different team.
  18. OH s***!! IT'S ON!!! Vacation house...I love it! LOL!
