  1. It actually turns out to not be a bad idea. The Rays werent gonna hit today regardless. Now, they have Garza and Price going in Texas, which gives them the best chance of coming back to Tampa.
  2. As it turns out, I am going out tonight, which means we are gonna lose. Every time I go out for a playoff game, we lose. SO be it
  3. Capps is your closer, though, so you dont use him up in the 6th or 7th. Fuentes is good vs lefties, but the game really turned on a better lefty lefty matchup with Liriano and Granderson. I think the Twins bigger problems came with their inability to score off Robertson with the sacks packed. You had two late chances that fell by the wayside
  4. I agree. We all have settled into a chronic state of dysfunction without a massive blowup from any one sector.
  5. Emmz, a lot of managers have that trouble. Girardi ran into that last night too when CC started walking the park and gave away a lead. The thing with Gardy is, who does he bring in? We hit Guerrier, we hit Crain. Rauch is probably the only guy we havent historically crushed, but he cannot pitch 3 innings. The Liriano vs Granderson matchup was as good a matchup as he was getting. Granderson just beat him. Regardless, I know this series isnt over by a long shot. BUT, the big thing is, the pressure is off for tonight. We can win this thing without coming back to Minnesota, which is a huge boost. That being said, a sweep would be absolutely fantastic as it allows CC to not have to go on short rest and gives us time to set up our rotation for the ALCS. Oh, and for my stalker, I am not working tonight. So as long as I dont go out to watch the game, I will be here.
  6. That is how you cut the heart out of a young, inexperienced team. The Phils are gonna sweep now
  7. So, couple things..... CC wasnt sharp at all from what I saw on gamecast. I would assume he was the same in real life. Seemed to miss a lot of the plate. The fact that we won game 1 in Minny against the Twins ace with our ace wild as hell is AWESOME. Now, we wrest home field from Minnesota and get to face off against a pretty soft rotation after Liriano. Now, our rotation after CC isnt anything to write home about, but our offense should crush Pavano. Tonights win gives us a very tight grasp on this series
  8. YANKEES WIN! THAAAAAAA YANKEES WIN!!!
  9. Oh of course. THat being said, though, getting onto cable nationally is a massive moneymaker
  10. f***ing ********, if this comes back to bite us, these umps should be dismissed from the post season
  11. I got banned initially because all of us who defected from the boston herald forums got banned initially. They let us all back in, but for some reason I couldnt get back on with my initial SN. I really only got banned for attitude once. I took 6 months off and came back much less of an *******
  12. Moss is going to average 90 yards per game with Minnesota and be Favre's binky. This move is going to get the Vikings back to the playoffs
  13. I was WAY worse before
  14. Maybe it changes to Steinbrenner broadcasting station. Or, it could put in a serious bid for the ALDS when TBS' contract is up
  15. Jesus Christ. Wood K's, walks then gives up a dribbler. Get Mo warming, we may not have a choice here
  16. Mo for two innings has been a bad concoction of late. I think Mo needs to be a 1 inning guy this postseason
  17. Just got back from work, was gamecasting up to that point. Did Granderson's double almost get out of the park?
  18. The Padres are going to require MLB ready offensive talent and powerful talent at that. The sox dont match up right now. If Rizzo comes out and smokes the ball in AAA for the first half of the season, then they might
  19. The sox relied on the old guard in 2009. Dont forget Wagner, who really tightened that pen up at the end. But when you let Wagner and Saito go and dont add anyone sans Atchison, you put a lot of stress on a massively declining Oki and a trend reversing Papelbon. This upcoming yr, you have some promising guys like Bowden and Doubront, but you really have nobody you can count on sans Bard and Papelbon. You must take the pressure off those two, especially Bard, or else you run the risk of hitting the same problem area
