  1. Kevin Millwood has thrown 5 no hit innings in his AA debut today
  2. Crawford is hurting the sox at the top of the order. You move him to #7 in the order and leave him there until his BA is over .250
  3. Lester doesnt have his breaking ball today, but the mark of a good pitcher is being able to pitch when you dont have all your stuff, and he's a good pitcher
  4. It stopped raining here in Mass right now.
  5. This from rotoworld. I think it is a good thing he is on the DL instead of taking the bump every 5th day. He even realized he had nothing after the second inning. Time to beef up the arm. He had a 90 inning jump from 2009 to 2010, it shouldnt be too much of a surprise that his arm is feeling the effects. There is a parallel here. Cole Hamels had a 70IP jump from 2007 to 2008. In 2009, he started the yr out awful before getting back on the train after the ASB and through 2010. They are doing the right thing. Strengthen his arm, get him on a mound in AAA in about 2-3 weeks to work on his secondary stuff as well and have him back by mid June
  6. Wrath of the Litsch King http://www.geek.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/wrath_of_the_lich_king.jpg
  7. That's all you need to do. Garcia has half the stuff that Nova does, but he got by against one of the best lineups in baseball by changing speeds and pounding the zone
  8. Garcia threw well. Joba and Mo threw well. Soriano still feeling it out. I have a feeling he is gonna still be worth the cash. And Tex broke out of his mini slump. Now we just need ARod to slather on some monistat and take the field tomorrow and today was a good day
  9. The hot air in Miami must have softened your skin. Really, this tiny amount of friendly banter gets under your skin?
  10. And you'd do the same thing if the yanks were 2-10. Take your medicine. Might be the only time I get to gloat this yr. Once your team puts a full stretch of games together, they'll be fine
  11. Well, good night y'all. Wont be around for either game tomorrow
  12. It looks like Rauch is throwing 100mph right now, even though he is registering at only 88. Sox are just late as s***
  13. 2 cockshots then he swings at the ball in the dirt
  14. Carl Crawford might be the Yankees best player
  15. Martin at the dish with the game on the line. That early season luster is going away right now. Game over. Should have won today. 9 hits to Texas' 4 and we lose. 6 f***ing double plays. Nova not aggressive in the zone.
  16. Montero is literally s***ing on the baseball in triple A right now. He went 3 for 5 again today with an RBI. He's hitting .471 on the season. Adam Warren threw a gem today. 6IP, 2ER, 5K's for a win. Suttle, Romine, and Cody Johnson all went 2 for 5 today. That Johnson kid has been looking good thus far. Looks like the Yanks have shortened his swing a bit. Mesa, Joseph and Pirela continue to struggle, all under .200. Stoneburner threw a gem, 6IP, 1ER but only 2K's. Zoilo Almonte broke out in a big way today, with a double and a homer. Jose Ramirez threw 4 innings, only 5 baserunners and 6K's, but the three walks and fact that he hit his pitch limit in 4 innings are a drawback another hit and 2 runs for Heathcott today. He's hitting .378 on the young season
  17. Pendleton is doing EXACTLY what Hughes should be doing. Nibbling on corners, no predictability, lots of movement. I think he's hit 90 twice. That is how you pitch. Too bad Nova got gunshy of the plate today. 5 walks, a HBP and 2 big wild pitches. The kid needs to get his head out of his ass and remember that he has elite stuff. He's gunshy
  18. I saw the replay, Crawfor would have needed to get back to the wall and then jump as high as he could to catch that. Remy said it hit off the base of the wall, but it hit about 8-10 feet up the wall
  19. Either Matt Harrison has turned a corner and become an elite starter, or our offense is sucking cock tonight. With ARod on the club, the latter is always possible
  20. Crawford will end up doing fine. I highly doubt he ends up as being worth $20+ mil per yr, but he'll be fine in LF
  21. Buchholz fastball had more movement today, but he couldnt locate it well. He also couldnt throw his curve for strikes. He was an inch away from being down 2 right now. He was living on the edge all game.
  22. shocked that he let Boone face Kinsler, but it worked out. Good inning Boone
  23. Well, here come the sox
  24. Cecil throws a lot of high changeups, which is usually not recommended, but it makes the high fastball that much harder
