    Bard is now on the hook, but the L should go to Valentine. In no way, shape or form should Bard have been in for the 8th. He was gassed in the 7th and got through it, but was obviously gassed. Going out for the 8th was giving up the game.

    The knee is weakest when hit from the lateral aspect. I dont care how much of a brick wall he is, you get him in the knee that is blocking the plate and he drops like a ton of bricks. Catchers who leave their leg in the path of a runner when the ball is en route run the risk of destroying said leg. You cannot say it is inhumane or weak or whatever. It is a part of the game, and if Francouer scored the way I recommended, he'd be fine instead of injured and the game would be tied

    Thing is, the one team that could really use Youk is in the division and has the match the sox need. I could see the Rays dealing Niemann or Alex Cobb for a Youkilis so they can stabilize their offense. Problem is, the sox and rays would never do that deal

    If Youk comes back as is, he isnt dealable. So, you bring him back and he will be a malcontent sitting behind WMB. The clubhouse is suspect to begin with, you really want a pissed off Youk there? From a personnell standpoint, it makes no sense to bring back Youk and sit him. Maybe they send him on a "rehab" assignment and wait for WMB to cool down, then promote him
