You cannot use Hanley to cover for David. Last year you had both and Hanley went 30/100. It's not like Hanley is going 45/130 this year. Moreland is a good enough player, but he isn't Ortiz. As a matter of fact, all your guys played well last year, even Leon. Who is going to pick up the slack? Xander had a career year, highest OPs and HR total in his career. Is he a 30Hr guy? Who knows? Expecting something beyond his career year is wishing. Is Mookie a 40HR guy? Who knows? But expecting him to improve on a MVP runner up season is wishing. Bradley had a career year. Pedroia had his best season since 2011 and is 33 years old with an injury history. I think management took a calculated risk replacing Papi with Moreland and going for pitching. Unfortunately for you, Price goes down and now the power goes out. Your lineup consists really of the 4 B's, Hanley and Pedroia. The other 3 spots were pretty questionable. Moreland is looking like a hit. The C spot and 3B look awful. If you have another guy have a rough season (I'm looking at you Hanley) then your offense will suffer immensely. Papi covered for a lot of ills on your team, and even at his best Mitchy 2 bags cannot come close to Papi's presence. You need Price back to see how the plan presents itself.
