  1. Meh, the fun of this season brings me back to the mid 90s. Not because I expect a dynasty, but because we are watching a young core develop. Our pitching has really carried us to this point, and if we can cement two spots in our rotation with kids, then that's a win for sure
  2. Man, the fire Farrell crew is out in full threat today. I'm hearing this on talk radio like it's gonna happen soon. Oh boy
  3. He's a humongous athlete who had the opportunity to play D1 baseball, football or basketball. He is the reincarnation of Dave Winfield and hits like him too
  4. Judge is definitely on steroids, I agree. I mean everyone who does roids grows to 6'7 duh.
  5. And btw, you guys are dealing with the bitch of high expectations. Your team is expected to win. David handled that very well. Over the past week, you have seen a weak spot in the armor of your current captain. Maybe there is a bit of a leadership void that needs filling?
  6. You cannot use Hanley to cover for David. Last year you had both and Hanley went 30/100. It's not like Hanley is going 45/130 this year. Moreland is a good enough player, but he isn't Ortiz. As a matter of fact, all your guys played well last year, even Leon. Who is going to pick up the slack? Xander had a career year, highest OPs and HR total in his career. Is he a 30Hr guy? Who knows? Expecting something beyond his career year is wishing. Is Mookie a 40HR guy? Who knows? But expecting him to improve on a MVP runner up season is wishing. Bradley had a career year. Pedroia had his best season since 2011 and is 33 years old with an injury history. I think management took a calculated risk replacing Papi with Moreland and going for pitching. Unfortunately for you, Price goes down and now the power goes out. Your lineup consists really of the 4 B's, Hanley and Pedroia. The other 3 spots were pretty questionable. Moreland is looking like a hit. The C spot and 3B look awful. If you have another guy have a rough season (I'm looking at you Hanley) then your offense will suffer immensely. Papi covered for a lot of ills on your team, and even at his best Mitchy 2 bags cannot come close to Papi's presence. You need Price back to see how the plan presents itself.
  7. No doubt your offense is struggling. Looks like the loss of Papi has been a lot bigger than anyone was willing to admit to
  8. Severino was dealing last night. I told you the last game he pitched, he looked pretty amazing. He just allowed two homers out of his three hits through 8 innings. Yesterday, he was untouchable. He has ace stuff. Tops out at 100, easily sits 97. Slider that is absolutely devastating. Change that is at least league average. Command that is plus all around. He was dominant in 2015. He came back last year with high expectations and crumbled. By the end of the year, he was dominating again in a pen role. He regained his confidence. Now, he's rolling. If he stays healthy, I think he is on course for a big season. There is no fault in getting shut down by a guy with his stuff
  9. He's cooked for tomorrow for sure.
  10. Chapman doesn't have his velo and cannot locate. Get the pen warming Joe!
  11. Chapman has nothing tonight. f***
  12. He's always had the stuff. Last year, he didn't have confidence. This year, he does. He's filthy and could end up being an ace in 2017
  13. Severino is dealing
  14. Severino needs to calm down
  15. Bird needs to go down to AAA.
  16. Holliday has been a disappointment to this point
  17. Yeah, he didn't get it in enough. Kinda crazy that Judge took it the other way
  18. The pitch to Judge was a good pitch. Inside almost off the plate. Judge is just a superhuman
  19. Bird is inbetween. Man, he is slumping bad
  20. Severino has confidence. Judge boom!!
  21. We are paying him big now, but even if he goes off the deep end and ends up imprisoned, that initial move was genius. Nobody was talking about him beating his GF when he was winning the world series.
  22. You have an elite talent who's stock was down due to an off field concern. We got him for literally nothing. We dealt him for a top 5 prospect, a former top 100, and the main cog in the deal to get Castro. The Miller deal was awesome as well. Frazier is a tool box who hasn't reached his ceiling, but Sheffield might be he big get there
  23. ARods contract was above Cashman as was Rafael Soriano. Lately, he's been given the reigns. What he did last season was downright genius. The fact that we've started well without two all star caliber players helps also. He built a deep farm with a ton of talent left to go
  24. Adam Greenburg Tony Conigliaro Mickey Cochrane (s*** helmet) Ray Chapman (No helmet) Lots of players are now down for awhile with concussions. It can alter careers significantly. It might not end them, but it could severely limit their ceilings for sure
