  1. Girardi reacted excellently. He had to pull him. Sevy has done this before. He allowed three runs in 3 batters vs the Brewers and shut them out for 7IP after that. We couldn’t wait to find out. I think you have to go with your hot hands in elimination games and he did so flawlessly.
  2. This isn’t a game thread. It’s a series thread. Game threads go by each specific game
  3. Bad weather might help us and absolutely f*** the Guardians. If game 2 gets pushed back, they use the off day. That would mean Kluber goes game 2 then on short rest in game 5.
  4. I think Sevy has to be in play for game 2. That lets him go game 5 as well. He was clearly nervous and also had no slider. It didn’t kill his team. That’s a good lesson to learn. I expect vintage Sevy going forward
  5. He’s keeping Kluber on regular rest.
  6. Game 1. Verlander vs Sale I’m a sox fan for this series. Please wipe out the Stros!
  7. Meh, relax gents. It’s just a game. Let’s enjoy the postseason. For the ALDS only, I’ll try to be a sox fan
  8. Game 1 tomorrow Bauer vs TBD Go get em Yanks!
  9. With this pen, every game becomes a potential victory. But we have to bring the bats vs Bauer. We need to set the tone in game 1. Whomever starts needs to be ready from the getgo. Nothing left in the tank, go all out. You can go 4 scoreless and be cooked and that’s fine.
  10. Think about it. You guys were a last place team two years in a row with a stacked farm. The farm graduated a few players and was dealt away for now players. Your farm is decimated. As these now players either age out or get paid out, your cliff becomes more likely. Plus, you’re not blowing anything up to replenish and you’re picking at the back end of the draft. Your farm will take years to rebuild and will likely require a few lean years to do it right
  11. DRob is probably cooked for game 1. Probably Kahnle as well. The Yankees won yesterday without even using Warren or Betances. Also, with Severino’s short start, he might be able to go games 2 and 5 vs CLE. Those two are actually regular rest, hence why Kluber is going 2 and 5. What a day. We saw how dangerous that pen can be. Green, KRob, Kahnle, Chapman. 8.1IP 1ER against a hot offense.
  12. I’m thinking of “sig-ing” it, lol
  13. I give them credit, but you also need to see the mastery of this pen. 8IP 1ER
  14. You guys are sounding defeated already. Some seasons, making the playoffs is a surprise and something that really should be considered a success. The sox were built to win a title. If you don't make the WS, then this season was a waste. Your cliff is coming.
  15. This is the power of the Yankees pen. We can literally get nothing out of our starter and we can put a pen game together to win. We aren’t even looking to use Betances or Warren here
  16. Castro is lost. I get Girardi’s play here wanting to keep the D, but a Holliday AB there would have ended it. Either way, handing a 3 run lead to Dellin and Aroldis is ok by me
  17. Kahnle does his job. On to Dellin and Aroldis.
  18. Kahnle for the 7th, Betances 8th, Chap 9
  19. Looks like we are riding KRob here
  20. Huge bomb there. Absolute missile.
  21. Gardy being an uber pest. Cmon JUDGE!!!
  22. KRob has to be done. We have 5 more innings. Do we go to Warren, who has been awesome this year but on the DL for 3 weeks, or do we hand the ball to a starter? Do we go Kahnle?
  23. These young teams have a lot of fight
