    Pedey is meeting with orthopods tomorrow to see if he needs knee surgery. I can almost guarantee something will be done. He came back and looked like a total shell of himself

    Add the $19.4 mil and subtract Moreland and Young's salary and you are still up $7.4 mil from this season before making any moves and now without a 4th OFer and starting 1b. I think the expectations of this fan base need to be altered a bit. The sox have some work to do on their roster and very little in terms of hard cash or prospects to deal from.

    There is something to be said for winning the division twice. There is another to be said for being the favorite and really getting beaten soundly by the Stros and the Guardians in the playoffs. One thing to remember is that Farrell isn't Dombrowski's guy. With the team now burning 2 seasons of high expectations with s*** showings in the ALDS, I anticipate Farrell's option doesn't get picked up

    Farrell gets ejected in an elimination game and the managing at the end fails the team. Farrell doesn’t survive this, no way

    This game was all about late inning failures. The sox entered the 8th up a run and end up allowing 3 to score over the final six outs with the likely CY runner up and Fireman of the Year throwing. The Stros earned it, but the sox big guys choked. The managing was awful. Kimbrel had nothing, and should have been on a tight leash after allowing the game to be untied. He never should have faced Beltran. The late hook cost the sox their season.

    The sox should be going for the throat here with Sale. Morton is okay, but not the true quality playoff pitcher of say a Verlander or Keuchel. If I was Hinch, I’d have Verlander go on short rest and Keuchel go on regular rest if needed. By going to Morton, it opens your team up to win a slugfest. The problem is, Porcello in Fenway vs this team is moronic. Right handed power in a righty power bandbox against the pitcher who led the league in HR allowed. The sox should hope it stays damp to try to keep the ball from flying out.

    Agreed. And Bird taking Miller deep certainly takes some of the shine off his post season dominance. A lefty taking the lefty dominator long gone was awesome.
