  1. Keuchel vs who the f*** knows and who the f*** cares. We are en fuego!!!
  2. This team doesn't f***ing quit. We were down 3-0 vs Minnesota and we beat them. We were down 0-2 in this series and we beat them. After game 1, we dominated this series. Our manager gave game 2 to them and then we spanked them 3 in a row. f***ing A man. This team is developing rapidly and we might be a dynasty starting early
  3. VICTORYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!! What a f***ing series!!
  4. YESSSSS!!!!! Gardy is a beast!
  5. He hadn't gone 2 during the season. He did so wonderfully in game 3
  6. We gotta get this one home
  7. 3 more outs Yanks
  8. 6 more outs Yankees.
  9. This umpire is awful
  10. I hate this matchup against bruce
  11. Disagree entirely. Their team has some prime talent, but their team isn't good enough and their farm system is barren. They won in 97 by dealing off their farm and spending. They won in 03 by using their farm. I think they have to build the old fashioned way. They will likely want to get a prospect haul and a big leaguer and then flip the big leaguer for a further prospect haul
  12. Yeah, that was abysmal. I don't like the Robertson extending here
  13. that is an AWFUL strike 3 call. Absolutely terrible
  14. His mechanics are off and he cannot locate. We have other options
  15. You cannot allow KRob to go past this inning
  16. If you told me before the game that we'd have a 1 run lead with both starters out in the 6th inning, I would have taken it. CC was nails, but faded and I am not sure how Girardi allowed him to allow 4 straight hits
  17. Ron Gardenhire is the front runner in the “way too early” poll. a700 might blow an aneurysm if that comes to fruition
  18. Welcome to life kid. I haven’t had my birthday off in years.
  19. Also, this assumes we don’t land the white whale from Japan in Otani. If we get him, we’d need to give him some at bats as well as I anticipate he’d make that one of his demands initially.
  20. The union will go apeshit if he misses his option by a few ABs, especially if he is sat down the stretch by a team in the hunt.
  21. Ohtani can be offered the most money in NY and a few other places, not Boston. That being said, the difference is minimal in terms of professional baseball salaries. I hope the Yankees have the inside track, but nobody really knows right now
  22. I don't understand Baker. The rainout allows you to throw Strasburg in elimination game 4 on regular rest. It then allows you to throw Gio game 5 on extra rest with a 3 days rested Scherzer waiting for relief. Roark in game 4 is a dumb idea
  23. You had some interesting problems on offense, but the major problems were these: 1. Ortiz is gone. He was a prime performer at his exit with a 1+OPS and 30+HR power. Ortiz made the lineup move and had a ripple effect through it with guys getting more pitches to hit in front of him and guys getting more opportunities behind him 2. Pedroia isn't healthy. Pedey playing about 100 games necessitated getting Nunez. Also, you saw a drop of about 75 points in OPS at the position for the sox from 16 to 17. With Pedey being a shell of himself, the defense and power suffered at the position, and his spot in the lineup was typically #2, which meant similar OBP, but less guys in scoring position (or who have scored) due to the lack of power and EBH's. 3. Hanley was abysmal with runners on. Last year, he had a .875OPS with runners on. This year, it was .648. That's over a 200 point drop in a player hitting in the middle of the order. The bottom line is, your big bopper left and was replaced by a guy who didn't have the goods to be a run producer. Pedey got hurt and wasn't the same. The lineup being without the big bat led to slight, but significant change in fastball percentage to Betts and a significant increase in sliders, which neutralized his effectiveness. He actually swung a lot less and it led to a higher walk rate, but a lower power output and a lower BA. His improved patience didn't lead to being more selective and hence higher line drives, quite the opposite actually. His LD% dropped 3% and his infield popup rate rose 3%. The FO thought you could elevate Betts to being the focal point and they were wrong. You must add a big bat to smooth out the discontinuity in the lineup
  24. Santana to DH exclusively. If Bird gets hurt, move Headley to 1b and Gleyber or Andujar take 3b. Santana being a switch hitter with power and patience, he’d fit very well in Yankee stadium and would add a consistent offensive presence in the DH spot we have been missing since Holliday got AIDS
  25. If I did colonoscopies all day, I’d be typing in gold font
