  1. potentially. I like Johnson as a pitcher.
  2. I think he is a guy who was thrown a bone at the end of the yr against a team that did not want to be there in the rain. Thats it.
  3. Yeah, Drew will stay healthy for 5 consecutive yrs. He has only been able to stay healthy for one yr in a row, 5 isnt a stretch as he crosses 31, right?
  4. Johnson is a decent prospect. He should get it done, but he is the biggest LH prospect on the sox (so long as you dont consider Lester a prospect anymore).
  5. I thought they said solid prospects?
  6. he will be bumped off the roster as soon as the sox sign a few players and he'll be placed on waivers.
  7. my point is that Broxton is a guy who they should try to move. Hall is just a stupid idea. The guy has trouble posting a .700OPS. He may get non-tendered. Your use of him for Manny shows how little you actually know about baseball.
  8. from rotoworld. The link is to the LA times and it requires registration.
  9. 1 yr 15 mil is a great contract. The money isnt the issue when you talk about the yankees. It is the length. Pavano for 4 yrs, Giambi for 7, etc. Those are insane deals. Pettitte is a one yr deal likely. AND, he is an effective LHP with yankee history. It is a great idea.
  10. we know who you are. You are a troll who followed seabeach over here to ruin him. You are a dude, we all know this, who has way too much time on his hands. Get out of here before you are forcibly removed.
  11. Lugo Youkilis Ortiz Ramirez Drew Lowell Varitek Crisp Pedroia not bad, not the best of lineups, but it will not hurt the sox. Predictions anyone?
  12. 9 mil for Lugo. 14 mil for Drew. No bullpen in sight. Manny in the fold. The O is shaping up, not quite the murderer's row of 2003-2005, but something that should work. The rotation needs to finalize with Matsuzaka and the pen is out right now. How high will the payroll rise to? Anyone knows.
  13. he'll be 29 in February. He isnt really a prospect, but may be a long man on the sox.
  14. this was from this morning. Things have moved since then.
  15. 14mil a yr for a guy who when healthy is .280 20 100 and the when healthy is a BIG worry. Man, that is insane.
  16. by 2010 he will likely be on his 3rd set of knees and in his 2nd turbo powered wheelchair.
  17. Don't you have a carton of cigarettes to smoke and a male group orgy to attend to? Isnt that what all of you losers do in Cali?
  18. true, but the fact that it is coming closer to occuring is something that has to make Cashman cream his undies. This is the piece he was waiting for and it looks like he'll be playing which is the first hurdle.
  19. why the hostility. Because this puke is a LA Dodger fan who follows people to other boards to troll. What a loser.
  20. 5yrs 70 mil. WOWZAH.
  21. Power relievers are the fastest to gain notoriety and the fastest to lose it. One bad pitch, one clutch bomb and their career goes in the shitter. If you have a power reliever and can get something that is much better than what he is worth, you do it. Too much risk in keeping a hot piece unless there is no market.
