  1. Turnbow. Please GOD, PLEASE GOD MAKE TURNBOW THE RED SOX CLOSER. PLEASE GOD!!!
  2. haha good one. I actually like some Canadian Beers.
  3. decent first year? Wow, your expectations are LOW.
  4. He is probably thinking, WHAT THE f*** IS THIS SPORT?
  5. in all seriousness, I think Wheeler would cost more. Lidge is a guy who the astros will hold out on and then deal IMO. But Wheeler makes that pen run. They dont even sniff a playoff race without him last season.
  6. isnt there a deadline where if Foulke is not signed by a certain time, that pick flie away?
  7. What do Urine Samples and Canadian Beer have in common ? The Taste
  8. he ran out of douche.
  9. Dice-K: Mr. Henry and Mr. Lucchino, we are very happy to meet with you. It is an honor to play in Boston and be known loving as one of the idiots. My starting price is 50 million dollars. I will not pitch sucky, I promise. I will not act sucky to the media either. Thank you. Translator: Mr. Henry and Mr. Lucchino are idiots. 5 dollar sucky sucky?
  10. I had always liked super joe mcewing. Can play 7 positions in a pinch, a good guy to have on your bench.
  11. can you blame the guy. It is frickin Canada.
  12. got a few friends who either are or were minor leaguers. It is still rampant. Most people even know when they will be called in, so they can cycle off in time.
  13. Mr. C. I agree. The best friend of a bullpen is less work. But at the same time, the guys they have out there even under less stress are not all that encouraging. Plus, pens have the propensity to get leaned on heavier and heavier as a season wears on. I think anyone who has seen baseball over the past few yrs could look at this pen and see that this one is not suited for such an exploit.
  14. bsn. But then you are opening up 2 spots in the rotation and getting rid of Timlin. The money you are freeing up will be reinvested. And if you are talking about a chase after Hunter or Jones, then the sox wil surge past the lux tax. There are penalties for repeat offenders. I think that is what the sox are afraid of. Surging past the lux tax and being unable to get below it.
  15. Tankersley is a guy who will get brutalized in the ALE. 1.44WHIP which is very BB loaded (26 in 41IP). Any move over here will increase that WHIP on both ends. If the sox got him, I'd leave him in AAA with Hansen to have 1 more yr of maturation. I think he'd be a bad choice for fenway.
  16. I agree. Any deal including Manny makes this very interesting.
  17. as for Tavares, he found it again when he hit the mound. He was completely lost in the pen. His era was 4.71 in the pen and 4.01 in the rotation. 4.71 is very bad, especially when you also have a 1.5+ whip.
  18. Hansen- he was putrid throughout. MDC- he imploded in september, which was when tek returned. Timlin strained his shoulder in the WBC. Well, I dont buy that at all. He started out great then faded. So I would think the wear and tear got to it rather than an initial strain.
