  1. they could be very similar.
  2. 1st amendment baby. I'm gettin my law and order on.
  3. 15 appearances over 3 seasons. 5 appearances per season for a player on a team that would face the yankees maybe 9-12 times a year. So he appeared in potentially half of the games his team could have been. I am sorry there isnt more power to the argument, but the argument still sticks. The guy allowed 23 baserunners in 9.2IP. That isnt by accident.
  4. just because the rest of the minny pen has been good at bailing him out doesnt mean he sucked any less. 23 baserunners, only 6 scored.
  5. ORS, seriously, your point is useless. Here is something for you. Last 3 yrs vs the yankees 15G 9.2IP 15H 6ER 8BB 4K .375BAA 2.39WHIP need I say more?
  6. my point was that he is the yankees bitch. That he is a bitch to many other teams is not my point. It also shows how quality a player this guy is
  7. There will be a link up soon. You know someone will be picking it up. But it would be sad if he doesnt and the Celts get f***ed again.
  8. Kilo, his small sample size against the yankees is the reason for the slight change in era with his numbers subtracted. It doesnt mean that he is any better against them. And since he has never been in the yankees division, you cannot expect his innings against them to be high.
  9. watching PTI and Oden says that he is not ready for the NBA. He says that scorers are more prepared to go to the NBA and he isnt a scorer at this point. He isnt ready to go into the real world and says that he needs time to mature. At this point, he aint coming out. The Celts may be f***ed again.
  10. and how both of us can be right depending on how we look at it. That is why I love stats. There are lies, damn lies, then there are statistics.
  11. so the stats dont favor me in one series, yet they dont favor you overall. Solid idea ORS. I didnt make the attack, you did, and you cannot back it up, so you talk about the power of the stats. That there is a smaller amount of innings is a given when you are talking about the playoffs. If you want to ferret out a smaller sample of a small sample then point out how small the overall sample is, you essentially diminish your initial point. You follow?
  12. when you are given s*** for choices, chances are your choice will be s***.
  13. so the whole 5.59ERA in the postseason shows that he can handle the postseason? Nice try ORS.
  14. francona sounded pretty convincing. My wishes are coming true
  15. I dunno what you are talking about, but Tavares is the closer. AL EAST BEWARE. Flying haymakers for no reason.
  16. I have Texas winning it all against florida. Just a feeling Durant is going to put that team on his shoulders and win it. They had Kansas by the balls and let em go.
  17. You're willing to send the beast? I'd hang onto that and send some schlitz or genessee ale before I deal away the beast.
  18. this is the first I have ever heard of this kid. I have heard of a few others who may be the top of the class this yr. Scaff knows about them I believe.
  19. Agreed Kilo. Adam Dunn is a player who can play 1b pretty well and a serviceable corner OF. He WILL hit 40-60HRs, he will drive in 100-120RBI and he will walk 95-120 times. His OPS is always over .900 and with some maturation his K's will come down. What I liked about him was that he was not afraid to set the K record. He didnt give two shits. And he is a tough mother f***er out there.
  20. If you get anyone who makes a major league roster for s***** Snyder, you should be lucky. Benitez has some value if he shows he can throw high 90s again. I dont expect the giants to just mail him to Boston in an express package.
  21. Tavares of last yr as a starter was very much like Chacon of 2 yrs ago. He got out of a ton of jams. His WHIP as a starter was 1.5 something. That is terrible. He puts way too many batters on the bases even as a reliever and that spells doom in the 9th. Welcome to your worst nightmare. He'd probably be the last guy I would have closing. After hearing this, I fully expect the sox to make a deal. Tavares as closer will make the sox the 2006 Guardians. Solid offense, solid starting pitching, horrible bullpen and even worse closers (after Wickman was dealt).
  22. I think that is a reasonable expectation from yr 1.
