    Cueto and Pena were selected, see draft thread. Rationale behind Cueto: Absolutely lights out repertoire. Had difficulty sustaining it in his rookie yr. This yr, he looks poised, has good command and has simply been unhittable. A young guy looking this good should only bode well over the next 5 yrs. He will likely fall off the wagon again this season as he builds up endurance, but over 5 yrs, I expect him to be a solid pick

    The next pick in the draft: Carlos Pena 1B The rationale: Pena turns 31 this season and is on his way to his best season yet. His power has improved since he came to Tampa and this season, it is going into overdrive. In combination with his slick fielding and his eye, he should be a good choice to perform through the next 5 yrs in a Ray lineup that should improve around him.
