  1. sounds about right, but 228 doesnt fawn over every yankee prospect like example does
  2. Still didnt use the term appropriately, but you did at least make it witty, so it passes.
  3. when you guys are in first, the yankee bashing is relentless
  4. I post on 2 yankee boards. One is a prospect board. The other one is a yankee board that is dying. The problem with yankee boards essentially is dealing with people who live in NYC. Disagree and they threaten your life rather than debate. Any needling comments get met with confrontation rather than wit. I actually got met with a death threat for daring to spout the fact that RJ was washed up in his second yr in NY. Its a different dynamic.
  5. http://www.foxnews.com/images/521796/0_61_031709_gas_320.jpg Pouring gas on the fire again I see a700.
  6. There is nothing to dispute. Evidence used. Well thought out. Solid post. Any post that leaves someone with no recourse but to agree with you is a good post. That being said, I have a feeling Dojji will try something. But you shot him down pretty heavily.
  7. Impressive post there counselor
  8. we come full circle. Actually, no we dont. That was an improper use of that phrase.
  9. Also, I did not see the game. I only saw clips. So you can comment on his stuff and his location and if those were good, then okay. All I can comment on are the results and the results sucked.
  10. Actually, not really. Have proof?
  11. BEECUZ HEEZ A SAWFFT TAWSSIN LEFFTIE!!
  12. I hardly ever "disappear". Lately, my time off seems to correlate with the yankees winning, which is nice. Granted, I am still working 60+ hours a week and will miss every game this weekend, but whatever.
  13. Last night we threw arguably our best pitcher out there too. So it doesnt prove that anything can happen. It proves that good pitching can shut down good hitting on both sides.
  14. Just because other teams will do something doesnt make it a right move. That being said, Epstein should have a lot longer leash than some are proposing and I guarantee he will stay in his position for a long, long time. Because not only is he keeping the team competitive and filling the park, he is doing so at less and less a salary burden, which makes the ownership really, really happy.
  15. His ERA in his good initial debut was 10.56, his WHIP in his good initial debut was 2.35, and his BAA in his good initial debut was .444. Sound good?
  16. There are tons of things at GNC that would trip off a drug screen and tons of supplements that are pro-steroids. I had a kid once, who was "roiding out" on a supplement from GNC. Thinking nothing of it, I kinda blew it off initially. But he had the bottle, unfortunately, the name escapes me. But the dosing regimen is a cycle on, cycle off dosing. And when you look at the chemical composition and its degradation products, it was metabolized to an anabolic steroid. Over the counter at GNC. Thats the thing. The US makes specific drugs illegal. But it takes awhile for that to occur. So, in the meantime, these companies will make supplements that get around the specific bans and make bank until the new product is shut down. It is amazing. It is entirely possible that Ortiz tested positive for a steroid without actually intending on taking steroids. Even if that is the case, the fact would remain that he was "juiced" during his early Boston run.
  17. from rotoworld
  18. He denies steroids but has no idea what "supplements" he took and cannot remember the supplements. Sorry, dont buy it
  19. Sick of me. And using the WE is awesome. See, I am not like Gom who will just come out and say something completely inflammatory. But I do like the little needles here or there, especially when stats back them up.
  20. Right now I am not. We have 4 solid starters. That being said, if the Joba scaleback takes effect, then I will be cause that means Joba would be the one throwing only 8 more times and Mitre or Gaudin would start 11-12 more times.
