    I agree. Posada probably sees 110 games behind the dish, maximum. But I think VMart sees about that much as well.

    I see how it is Dipre. Reality is just a thought in Dipre-land. Jorge has outperformed VMart throughout his entire career. Yes, father time is a major concern, I'll give you that. But thus far, Posada has hit circles around Vmart. So maybe a push is in order?

    So the possiblity of injury didnt play into this at all? Denying this is retarded. Seriously, f***ing retarded. But I expect nothing less from our Dominican short bus rider. He has a shoulder that is concerning per the Red Sox. He signed a contract prior to his final season last time and he does it again this time. You dont think that has anything to do with a possibility of injury? Really? As a pitcher? If his shoulder goes, he's looking at $2 mil per season. It's a risk that most players take, but he has shown he is uncomfortable taking that risk

    I find it funny when people are waiting for my response. Regardless, Beckett proved that he is either... A- Insecure about his ability to last through this season or B- True to his word about not being a guy who squeezes every last dime out of a team. I am leaning towards a lot of B with a touch of A.

    I am surprised at people taking VMart over Posada offensively without even giving him a close or push here. Posada has him by .030 in OPS over their careers and has beaten him in OPS every yr 06-09.

    Edwar was exactly as advertised. Ridiculous changeup, average FB, below average command. Regardless, I think the sox pen being touted as a major strength is overblown.

    Casey Kelly looks really good. He doesnt have overpowering stuff, but everything moves and he seems to control all 4 quadrants of the zone. His changeup is really, really good

    Unless Beckett is true to his word (and most athletes arent) then how can your agent justify a contract like this? If I was his agent, I'd start at 6yrs 120 mil and be willing to accept a buffed up Lackey offer (5yrs 90 mil with a vesting option as a 6th yr).

    A sprain entails tearing to the ligament. Depends on the grade, Grade 1's have stretching of the ligament with micro tears, all the way to grade 3, which is a complete tear. Pitchers with UCL sprains usually need the knife

    I agree, they arent going to turn Grandy into a platoon guy right away, but they have the personell to make it happen if his performance necessitates it. I also see the Yankees having a TON of speed this yr. Girardi liked SBs, and having Jeter, Granderson, and Gardner in the lineup, he's got a lot of it. And hell, ARod should still be a double digit steal guy and they have Winn on the bench.

    Oh it hurts a lot, and typically your arm goes numb since the force transmitted stuns the ulnar nerve.

    It is VERY tough to fracture an elbow in a musclebound man on a pitch. A wrist, hand, finger? Easy. But an elbow? Not really. I got hit a few times right on the elbow, and I developed a pretty nasty bursitis, but was able to play through it. The olecranon bursa sits right over the olecranon (pointy part of the elbow). It acts as a shock absorber which is why a direct blow needs to have incredible force to break the bone. But the bursa gets inflamed and hurts like hell for a month

    Depends on what you think AJax is going to become. Lets put it this way, is AJax, Coke, and Kennedy worth more than Ellsbury or Buchholz? All depends on what you see in AJax IMO

    Well, the acquisition of Granderson would have been a net net even when it comes to contract since Cameron wouldnt have been signed. But adding in Vazquez would have brought you over the current salary for 2010. Sorry, misread the quote
