  1. Meh, Cole was dominant. The pen finally gave it up. It’s gonna happen. I’ll take 2 of 3 from the Stros any day
  2. The tigers are one of the worst baseball teams I’ve ever seen
  3. Green finally had a bad game. Not the best matchup vs these FB hitters
  4. How do you leave Eovaldi in here? This is a game you need to win. He has absolutely nothing today
  5. Power pitchers typically lose command outside the strike zone. This makes them wild, but not prone to getting shitstomped. Eovaldi loses his command in the zone, which makes for a lot of hard hit balls
  6. Nate Eovaldi, tantalizing stuff, maddeningly inconsistent and frequently injured.
  7. So you mean to say Nate Eovaldi was not going to dominate all season like he did in his first 4 starts? I am shocked, wow.
  8. He has changed his approach. He tried to be a power pitcher who had fine command. He nibbled like he was a soft tosser. He seems to have finally realized that his stuff is special and he needs to just attack the zone. In doing so, he is mowing people down. His issue has never been stuff, it has always been between the ears. He seems to have fixed that
  9. Barnes has altered his approach and is ready to cash in for his contract year
  10. Having the winning streak reset expectations.
  11. Whitlock is facing what all major leaguers face. That first bump in the road. How he responds to it will define his big league season
  12. Hauver hit another homer. Volpe and Wells crushed again. Tampa put up a 19 spot.
  13. Maybe I do, who knows. I just know we already won the series heading into the final day with Cole on the mound. The team is rolling and help is on the way. Voit hit a dinger tonight as did Andujar in the minors. Britton will be on the mound in the next week or so in the minors. Sevy is tossing hard off the mound. The offense is showing signs of life, the rotation has been damn good and the pen has been almost unhittable. 11-3 in last 14 and rolling. I’m liking the upswing here
  14. Detroit cannot hit yet have scored 13 runs over 19 innings vs Sox pitching. Everyone knew the wheels were coming off the Sox wagon. Every team has a run in them during 162, the Sox just had theirs 4 games into the season. 1 game up in the L column you are now, and with one more vs Detroit and a 4 gamer vs Baltimore coming, you’ll likely hold the division for one more week
  15. Monty came up big against a really bad matchup for him with all those RH bats. Pen was lights out. Stanton is on fire. Hicks with a couple hits. Won 5 straight heading into a Cole start. Tomorrow should be fun
  16. He seems to be behind. I wonder if the neck and covid issue set him back
  17. I don't disagree ultimately. It is interesting since the Yanks are holding their guys back and the sox are progressing them forward. We shall see which approach works the best
  18. Barnes has never been without great stuff. He has always shrunk in the moment and tries to be too fine. This year, he seems to be aware that his stuff is great and he is challenging hitters.
  19. Houck got knocked around today. The problem is, everyone and their mother knows he belongs in the majors and a demotion can really f*** with a player's head. You hope he can work through it enough to be an option when he will invariably be needed
  20. He's a 1st ballot HOFer anyway. If I was the GM on the Tigers, I would do what the Yanks did for ARod. Let him know he was gonna get cut a week in advance and let him ride out his final days in front of the fans before have a Miguel Cabrera day at home. Retire the jersey, give him a key to the city, etc.
