  1. If we know one thing about Theo, we know he's going to go get some BP help. Sometimes it works out (Williamson), sometimes it doesn't (Gagne, Wagner).
  2. Somebody needs to get in Drew's face, Longoria-style, and tell him to get his lazy ass on the field. This is exactly the time he should be stepping up and trying to carry this team on his back. Instead, we have a 5'7" secondbaseman with a broken foot fielding groundballs from his knees!
  3. Good time for Cameron to make up for that defensive fiasco.
  4. Hey VA! Just in time, here we go!!! Oops, thought Hall would make a productive out there and move the runner to third. Silly me.
  5. Nice inning from Atchison.
  6. The only hope tonight is to get Garza out of the game. There's no one in the Rays BP we can't hit.
  7. Garza's pitching tonight like Beckett used to. Dice-K looks better now that he's tired. I say let him go another.
  8. Just got to see the replay on Shoppach's fly ball to CF. Cameron really misplayed that ball-- that's a routine catch for a professional. He got caught drifting to the ball. That play cost them an out, a run and maybe two.
  9. Yikes, just noted that Patterson GIDP on his first at bat as a RS. Welcome to Fenway. Geez.
  10. I'm on radio. So, what I usually look for is where the ump is "giving" an inch or two. A little up, a little out, nothing at all on the black...
  11. Just checked out the Yankee game. Vasquez is pulling a Dice-K.
  12. How's Cuzzi's strikezone tonight?
  13. Hey guys, just checking in... 2-0 and Dice-K's walked four already. Typical outing I'd say.
  14. March on, Macduff! Most Yankee fans are ignorant, the rest are annoying. Occasionally, you get someone who was born into it (like we were) and they know their history, they know who's pitching for them tonight, and can name 3 or 4 players in their starting lineup. Those fans are rare; they have been unfortunately predestined. I look upon them with pity; they never had a chance to choose good over evil. They are tolerable to some extent. The great majority of Yankee fans like the way the hat looks. They can't name more than two starters and still think Clemens wears pinstripes. A brilliant Red Sox observer once noted that they are, "A mile wide and an inch deep." Poetry in my opinion.
  15. I hope there is beer involved. Garza usually sticks it to us. Dice-k is like rolling the, well, it's like a coin, sometimes it's heads, sometimes it's...
  16. Ballgame. Check in with you all later. Cheers.
  17. Another chinker, we've been collecting these cheap hits since Colorado. Papelbon in for a one out save.
  18. Hey, there's children here!
  19. He's a mop up guy for a reason.
  20. Papi a little anxious there. First pitch breaking ball with the bases loaded?
  21. Wonder why Maddon took Wheeler out? He came in, struck out two guys, then took him out for another RHP. Thought for sure he'd bring in a leftie to turn Nava around then face Ortiz. Oh well, another run for us.
  22. Um, they walked Hall to load the bases...
  23. Call me old-fashioned but I'd have Hall bunt here.
  24. Oooh, I get the "live look in" option. Will get to see the RI native throw slider after slider...
